Is tall enough for 6 ft'r, should hold up to heavy use. Don't expect to use as a walking stick, way to heavy but great monopod.

I love this tripod, very durable and it works w/ 234RC tilt head and my d90 + grip + 70-200mm lens.

This is my first monopod and I am impressed. Extremly stable and very durable. The quick release latches ensure the legs are locked in place. Worked great all day while shooting at High Line Park in NYC.

I chose this monopod over the 3 section ones because of the shorter overall length. This one is a perfect length even with the 234 swivel head. I'm 6'-3" and it's just tall enough for me. This monopod is very well built and is solid even with 4 sections. The clamps are solid and come with a tool to adjust the tension.

Had a Bogen monopod for at least 10 years and finally one of the clamps broke so I needed to get a new one. A friend has this model and I really liked it so I got it.

I purchased this monopod in addition to a Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 OS for my Canon 60D. This pod is strong, lightweight and very compact. It held up very well in some extreme conditions I experienced this past weekend at SXSWi in Austin, TX. I highly recommend this monopod to pro photographers and videographers alike.

This monopod compacts down to 20", which is ideal for travel and for taking photos while sitting on the ground. In contrast, the 681B only folds down to 26.5" so it's harder to take with you when traveling and you must kneel to take photos at its shortest height. I don't know about you, but I find it's much more comfortable waiting for that perfect wildlife shot sitting down than on my knees! Highly recommended with a quick release plate or with the RRS MH-01 Pro monopod head.

My last monopod was being pushed beyond it's weight capacity. Tired of the weight of the camera causing an elevator move, I purchased 2 of these mono-pods and what a difference they make!

I've been using this monopod for everything from nature photography to video. It's fairly compact, stows easily in my bag, extends quickly and is very stable.

This product is fairly light and lives up the the quality associated with the Monfrotto name.

This is my first monopod. I don't always carry my tripod because it can be too bulky and takes a while to set up and break down.
This monopod does not totally replace the tripod, obviously, but is great to have when travelling or photographing in a place where there is not a lot of room to set up a tripod.

I had a Manfrotto 679B monopod, and as I was preparing for vacation, wanted to take it with me. I had "organized" a couple closets and in the process, I couldn't find it and figured I'd misplaced it (or organized that closet very, very well). I wanted to replace it, and found this model. I really like it -- lightweight, but opens up to the same height. It will fit into the suitcase like a charm. Of course, once this one arrived, I found the other one. I like this one for the compact size, so I'm keeping it ---- at least this way, I'll be able to find at least one of them!!
