The smooth movement of the Manfrotto 128LP Micro Fluid Head weighing 2-1/4 lbs including an adjustable handle will amaze you. It is perfect for just about any of the new lightweight cameras. It pans a full 360° smoothly and can be tilted up or down 90°.
Replaces old part number 3126.
- Has Pan and Tilt locks, a continuously adjustable positioning slot for best camera balance and is designed so that the handle can be on either the left or right side.

this head is great for video dslr use but has its cons. The head doesn't have a level bubble which i found disappointing because especially in video you want a well balanced picture.

I use the product as a freelancer and it works great! the only complaint i have is that clamp that holds the handle does not allow the handle to fold into the tripod for easier transportation. one is required to remove the handle to breakdown the tripod when changing locations. mildly inconvenient, but it won't stop me from using it.
also i feel that there should be a detachable securing plate. screwing your camera every time you use the tripod gets a little old.

I bought this to put on top of a small Dana dolly style slider I built. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a nicer fluid head, but for the cost, this works great. Nice and smooth (though not adjustable) and able to be locked down firmly. Best of all it uses the same quick release plate--keeping it in the Manfrotto family.

The pan and tilt are as smooth as silk and the adjustable handle is a blessing. The head is sturdy and will support a Canon HF G10 or a DSLR with a short zoom with no problem. The Manfrotto quality is evident. On problem I had was with the tilt/pan handle clamping screw. I took the handle off to put head on a monopod. The clamping screw worked its way out and was lost deep in the woods. Luckily I found it the next day. If the handle is removed, be sure the clamping screw is securely tightened or put it somewhere safe.

My Nikon SLR was mounted on a fixed-head tripod, and adjusting up and down, left and right took extra steps, of course. But the micro fluid head eliminated those steps when timing was crucial. I'm talking about split seconds. It works for me now.

This is a great no-frills fluid head. The first one I bought lasted
about 15 years and finally succumbed after crashing onto the road--although I still used it for months afterwards. I am happy to have replaced it w/ another Manfrotto that I expect will last for the next few decades. I love it's big flat head and smooth pan and tilt movements. Also--there's no quick release plate to lose.

I saved 10 bucks by going with this one instead of the one with quick release. I also didn't want to hassle with having a small part I could probably loose easily. I love the motion on this thing, it is smooth like butter but also stops where you want it. No hassle no fuss just great motion I love it great for doing pans. I wish the handle were longer but it is removable so I might be able to get my own. It is a great tripod for my HV30. Really good if your shooting live.

This is a nice little fluid head. It doesn't have quick release plate so if you looking for one with that feature, this product is not for you. I use this for interview settings where I don't have to take my camera off the tripod. I have another tripod with a quick release if I need to work at events I need to walk around with camera detached.

This little tripod head which easily attaches in seconds makes the 7302YB Manfrotto backpack and tripod kit fully useable for all cameras up to ten pounds. Its worth every penny of its price. Micro fluid head is also fine for DSLR's. It just more steady torque for panning duriing video shots. The backpack tripod kit should come with this micro fluid head, and a camera quick release plate all in one kit. You really need all of these little pieces. If you have a little Manfrotto tripod, you need this little head. The tripod still fits in the backpack with the head hanging out the top, but tied down.

For video, there's nothing like a truly fluid head. This works perfectly for my small HD camera, whereas my previous head only did smooth tilts with older, front-heavy camcorders.

I use this for making videos with my Canon EOS 5d Mark II.
I tried using my regular Gitzo tripod for video recording but it wasn't smooth enough and since I wasn't ready to buy a third tripod, I figured putting this on my manfrotto tripod will be excellent. So far so good. When it comes to video, I consider myself an amateur.
