Not compatible with the 503HDV head, or the 501. I would think that that would be a sub point in the product description, instead of matching up numbers with their new version of head.

We couldn't be happier that you can purchase a replacement for the pan handle. We shoot dozens of hours of video on a weekly basis, and the teeth wear out quickly on the tripod pan handles. Even though this only solves half of the problem (the other half of the teeth are on the tripod head), it still improves traction and functionality for a fraction of the cost of getting a new head. It's quick and easy to replace with important results.

I used it for the left side of the 503 pro head.I can attached from monitor, light, or other accessories using supper clamp. The price was great as well.
