Large, heavy duty wheels and strong constuction make this a piece of pro equipment. This is my second one and I take the cable guides off, which is easy to do.

Solid Dolly, works well with the tripod 546b. I found that the caster were a little noisy on uneven surfaces, but a couple sandbags to keep the weight low restores silent running.

Comments about Manfrotto 114 Heavy Duty Cine/Video Dolly:
When you don't have either the money or the space for a full sized dolly system this certainly works splendidly in a pinch. Would a doorway dolly or Fisher 10 or 11 be better? Well, of course! But in a pinch this rig can provide you with smooth moves. It is heavier than I imagined it would be, and that translates to better performance on the set. And you can take it low with the attached tripod head stud (which makes a nifty hi-hat with the wheels locked down!)

I use this as the base for my jib. Its very solid and the wheels are smooth. I find it very quick and easy to set up and take down. I took off the studio cable guides as I use this more on location. It makes repositioning the jib a whole lot easier. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Nothing bad to say about it.

Comments about Manfrotto 114 Heavy Duty Cine/Video Dolly:
First, this thing is a great deal more substantial than I was expecting. It's got a bit of significant weight on it, but Manfrotto did a great job of making it manageable by making it able to be folded down (complete with a carrying handle - which helps a great deal). Questions I had were: 1: can you use any tripod with this thing? 2: can you pull off moving shots with it as well? Here's what I've decided - I can't attest for all tripods, but I have the 055xpro and it works pretty decently with it. The adjustable holders (for the tripod feet) swivel forwards and backwards a good 20 degrees or more, which helps it adapt to the legs of a tripod being at different angles. Word to the wise - if you're doing anything but extending the tripod to it's fullest height, be prepared to spend a little time making sure everything fits properly. Now to the 2nd issue - you're still gonna generate quite a bit of vertical jitter with this thing, so unless your camera or lens is equipped with a really good stabilizer, don't expect to capture smooth, even footage. Also, the casters are all pivoting, so when you change direction, there'll be a significant bump (think grocery carts). One more thing to keep in mind: this dolly is substantial enough that it can be a little limiting when shooting in small spaces - a cafe for example.

I would have given it a 5-Star rating if it wasn't for one of the cable guards was too low and scrapping the floor when you roll it around. Will have to find out how to adjust and level that.

I unpacked it and had it set up and working in two minutes. It's solid, rolls and shifts directions smoothly and is easy to carry and store. Take off the cable guards and it rolls like a dream on carpet. Works with any style tripod, which is why I bought because I have three kinds from cheap to pro and I'm very pleased. A nice design and worth the money.

If you are looking for an heavy duty dolly, this is the one for you. The only cons I fund on this dolly are, break set and release latches are too small for the size dolly, but this will not stopping me to give this dolly a 5 Star.

I use this dolly in the studio, well built with heavy duty construction. The only issue is the plastic pumper footings, I wish they were made of a stronger material.

I use an EZ FX jib arm atop a Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 528XB Heavy-Duty 1-Stage Tripod Legs and with the weight of my camera rig I needed to have the luxury of easily relocating that monstrosity and this awesome product provides that ability. I was mush larger than my last dolly. The cable guards can be easily removed when necessary. The dolly has a 3/8" in the center to attach a tripod head to get low angle shots on a movable based. That Rocks!! This unit lifted my jib another 7 inches which is a great thing.

Comments about Manfrotto 114 Heavy Duty Cine/Video Dolly:
I couldn't tell from the photos how robust this tripod dolly might be. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the three legs are made of very thick, solid aluminum, assuring a secure base. The leg "receivers" tilt up and down accommodating almost any tripod height. The "skirts" on the wheels push cables out of the way (instead of rolling over them). The dolly folds easily and the heavy-duty center piece has a cut-out to use as a handle. Overall a very nice design. Works best on smooth floors.
