I have not yet tested this battery to see if it takes as many photos between charges as the Pentax brand. Due to huge difference in price, I could have two of these for backup and money left over for the cost of one Pentax battery. So I'm not concerned re whether it'll take as many photos as a Pentax.

The Pentax Battery has a reputation for short run time. I bought an extra battery to help with this problem. However this battery has a very-short-run time. I get about 100 shots and it's dead. If you want a 2nd battery for your Pentax W80 get the Pentax brand
