Comments about Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 209 Tabletop Tripod with 482 Micro Ballhead - Supports 4.4 lbs (2kg):
I use this with my Canon G10 and even my XTI with short lens attached with great result. It's made out of metal, so it is very durable, but the legs do not lock. I sometimes steady the 'pod, even though all the legs are not fully swung and get good results with IS G10 down to 1/6 sec or slower.

This is a very good tabletop tripod. The ball head is built very well. The tripod legs are also good but seem to be made of white metal and could break if forced or heavily loaded. Get the adjustable extension and you will have many options. The only con I can see is that it is a bit on the heavy side, but IMHO worth the weight. I use it with my Panasonic lx3

I'm using this tablepod for several month now,
it is compact and reliable, I love it.
Takes little room in a camera-bag and is
a great support, even with the extension.

I picked this up at a camera store in my city (sorry B&H) and love it so much I think I may get another one for some work I'd like to do. Its a real good package for all three; I like the fact that it gets pretty tall--if you need anything higher, I would just use a real tripod. The only issue is that it seem to slip just a little, but this could be because I don't tighten it enough. I would like to see it support slightly more but I don't doubt the fact that it can hold a lot as is. Not to knock any other minipods but this is a great price from a company that is very reliable and knows how to build things.
