I'm using this strap with my 055XPROB Aluminum Tripod Legs by Manfrotto, with the 496RC2 Compact Ball Head also by Manfrotto. For short photo sessions, it's the best choice, instead of carrying a larger case. Really worth every dollar spent on it. The strap has very good material and construction, attaches easily to the tripod, and the end of the strap (that you attach to the bottom of the tripod, when closed) is really easy to use and very safe. The strap is perfect to carry the tripod on your shoulders, making short photo sessions, where you don't want to carry all your gear, really nice. It's not well padded, but as stated, for short sessions, seems perfect.

I have an older Manfrotto 3205G aluminum tripod that came with a strap which is better than the 102 "heavy duty" strap that I had to purchase separately for my 190XPROB. I'm disappointed that Manfrotto did not include the strap with the 190XPROB tripod legs; also the quality seems to be inferior from the previous strap which has a better shoulder grip / pad and better construction. I also prefer the older straps that are a fixed loop versus the newer strap design which dangles when not attached to the legs. For [$] I was expecting something better - although I am keeping the strap I am honestly disappointed.

Comments about Manfrotto 102 Heavy Duty Tripod Carrying Strap:
This strap makes it easy to shift from location to location--you don't have to carry the tripod in your hand, and don't have to take the time to repack it in the case, when you are just going to set it up again. The strap is comfortable, and doesn't get in the way when the tripod is set up for shooting. No complaints!

Have only used once at the beach and it worked great! Am planning on using this strap while climbing up Yosemite Falls at Yosemite. This should be the ultimate test! I actually found that using the strap backwards (the tripod was diagonally across my back and the strap across my chest) seemed to work better for me.

This strap will carry about anything comfortably. It is heavy duty and made to carry a heavy tripod. Its built well and should be very durable. Its pretty comfortable but the material is a little stiff.

Comments about Manfrotto 102 Heavy Duty Tripod Carrying Strap:
This is just what I was looking for! Nice and wide with a non-slip strap. It is a little hard to clip on my 055XPRO since the clip is wide but that adds to the strength I guess.
The only negative is that it would be nice if it could adjust shorter.

Comments about Manfrotto 102 Heavy Duty Tripod Carrying Strap:
I recently got a fairly good sized Manfrotto tripod as a gift(055cxpro3). I knew I'd need a way to carry it and initially thought of the suggested carry bag from Manfrotto. I normally like bags and use them for my other equipment such as lights and stands.
In this case, however, I decided on the strap for two reasons. It is lighter than the bag and if I'm taking my tripod into the elements such as the beach or desert, the bag is just one more thing to fill up with sand and dirt. A quick shake and the strap is clean and sand free. It is very quick to hook up and seems fairly sturdy. I have tried carrying the tripod in a couple of different positions and am so far satisfied with my decision.

Comments about Manfrotto 102 Heavy Duty Tripod Carrying Strap:
Smaller tripods are handier with a strap rather than a bag - no need to unpack and carry along the bag separately.
The strap has a solid feel and looks durable. Recommended.

Comments about Manfrotto 102 Heavy Duty Tripod Carrying Strap:
I bought this for my 3021 tripod and 3 handle head. Together they can be pretty heavy to lug around, but with this strap it is a cinch! In the field, I often keep my 5D with 24-70 attached with no fear of dropping or sliding off my shoulder. Plus it is quick to move with. Much better alternative to the expensive padded bags...BUY IT.

not so sure heavy duty would be my choice for naming this carry strap. does an OK job. I've had the plastic clip break on other carry straps before [camera bag strap] that then made it usless.

Well constructed except for the spring clip that attaches to the tripod. Mine broke off. No replacement parts available, so I have to buy the entire strap to replace a $5 part.

I used this walking along the canal this weekend. Connected it to my Manfrotto 190CX in about 10 seconds. Easy to attach, easy to remove, and did exactly what I wanted.
