Comments about Manfrotto 200PL-38 Rectangular Quick Release Plate with 3/8" Screw:
This extra mounting plate improves slightly on the old ones. The golden brass is prettier, and the rubber anti-skid surface seems a bit nicer than the cork on my old ones.
These things are really handy; it's nice to have one for each camera body, pair of binoculars, etc.

Comments about Manfrotto 200PL-38 Rectangular Quick Release Plate with 3/8" Screw:
Bought this so my husband could mount his astronomy binoculars on my Mafrotto ball head when I'm not busy shooting. Love the ability to switch out the plates and make double-use of the tripod and head. Wouldn't want to be without the RC2 system.

Please note that this does not fit the Canon T1i dSLR camara. I bought this instead of the 200PL-14..

Comments about Manfrotto 200PL-38 Rectangular Quick Release Plate with 3/8" Screw:
I have been using the Manfrotto Quick Release System for some time now. I recently bought a Canon 500mm F4 and needed the 3/8 mount for this lense. I love this system as it is easy to release and even has a built in safety. All I can say is I love it. I have this release mount on all my cameras and lenses.

Comments about Manfrotto 200PL-38 Rectangular Quick Release Plate with 3/8" Screw:
I have other 1/4" mounting plates for my standard photo equipment and needed a 3/8" plate for the tripod ring for the heavier lenses. This plate didn't disappoint. Consistent Manfrotto quality.

Comments about Manfrotto 200PL-38 Rectangular Quick Release Plate with 3/8" Screw:
As those who own tripod systems designed with QD plates. This is a must for Bogen tripod systems. The plates are well built, properly finished and reliable when use with my Bogen tripod systems that I own. They are capable of being used with either still photoraphy units or video cameras and have properly positioned set screws to assist in secure mounting to prevent shifting/twist of the plate once in use.
