The Bushnell 10x43 Elite binocular has been created to deliver great optical performance for birders, hunters and others. Committed to high standards, Bushnell continues to meet the high expectations of the most avid enthusiasts. This binocular features the Bushnell revolutionary XRT technology. Using 60 anti-reflective layers of coatings on each prism, this innovative improvement increases light transmission by 99.73%, which is extremely efficient for low light conditions.
The 10x43 Elite binocular is flat-field, distortion free and relatively close focusing. Its BaK4 prisms are specially PC-3 phase coated to produce sharp edge-to-edge images. The binocular is bright, steady, and performs extremely well during dawn and dusk. It has a generous 4.3mm exit pupil diameter sufficient to accommodate all viewers including eyeglass wearers. Waterproof, nitrogen purged, and shock resistant, this binocular is fully submersible. It is built to withstand water pressure up to 15 feet and can sustain extreme abuse.

Comments about Bushnell 10x43 Elite Binocular:
I am a wildlife biologist just out of college working field jobs, so I use these binoculars every day. I bought them as a replacement for my stolen Nikon LXLs and after testing products from different companies, I settled on these. For the price [$], you cannot beat them. They are bright in low lighting conditions, have survived numerous beatings and drops in the last two months and are comfortable in the hand. They say that they are fog-proof, but nothing is fog proof when you are working in the rain. My only complaints are that the image is a little distorted around the edges of the lenses and they are lightweight, which makes me question the long term durability. Occasionally when I am hacking through the brush the eye cups twist down, but that doesn't bother me. My old Nikons were bomb-proof and survived a 25 foot drop onto rock and a 3+ hour submersion due to a kayaking mishap. If these Bushnells hold up to that rigor, then I will be impressed. So far they are working great. I think that these binoculars work almost as well as Leicas, Swarovskis, etc. but are about $1,000 cheaper. For the price, I don't think you can get better. If you want to dish out another $300 for the LXL Nikons, do that instead.
