The first thing to remember is how to use your camera. This is great for the money. Pictures are wonderful, use with the Fuji HS20.. I use this TELEPHOTO and the 2.5 Macro.. with the 30x zoom provided by the HS20 you can see the hex pattern in a whasps eye.. for under 800.00 for everything! That's where it's at, DSLR is great, for action, otherwise you'll get same quality with SLR style Digital with adaptive lens.

For the price this lens does a great job. If you are not planning to be a professional photographer and just want to enjoy your own photographs this lens is a great way to get the focal range you need for wildlife.

The only problems you might have is trying to shoot on wide angle with the lens attached or trying to use this on a camera that does not already have 10+ optical zoom.

Reading all the reviews by other purchasers of this product, gave me a feeling that it was OK, But! I decided that I would see for myself and boy, was I in for a surprise.

I have a Canon XM2, with its 20 times zoom it is a delight use and it initially exceeded all of my expectations. I video birds, (feathered kind) and have some wonderful video's taken over the last four years.

My project this time was to video the Square tailed Kite, this bird is seldom seen and not much is known of its breeding cycle. A nest had been found with a breeding pair in attendance. Situated 25 meters up a tree, it gave the XM2 a good chance to show its capabilities.

I had videoed the two young from early feathers to young adults, being fed by their parents and eventually eating the nestlings dropped into the nest by their parents. Six hours of video to edit, but I was a little disappointed by some of the video footage taken. I knew that a platform was the only way to get good shots. Then I read about the DCR-2025PRO 2.2x Telephoto Lens.

I bought it and managed to get another thirty minutes of video before the now full grown young left their nest forever. Amazing shots, I can see down their throats when they yawn, get full head shots instead of most of the bird shots, vignetting? sure it does, but its a specialty lens for moments like this used at full zoom and I wish I had six hours of tape taken with this lens.

So in summary, XM2 users, go for this lens attachment, you wont be disappointed, use a sturdy tripod, and expect jitter when you gently push the start and stop buttons, this is easily edited out, and if your a purist, use your remote and don't touch the camera.

works OK at full 12X zoom on my EXF1, but reduces to a smallish circular field of view in the middle of an otherwise black frame at wider angles (e.g. < about 10X). I expected this to be useful, filling the full frame across the full optical zoom range of the camera, but I can't use 1X - 12X optical zoom with it.

Also would be nice if it came with a cap which fit over the sunshade. The cap that's shipped with it fits the lens after the sunshade is removed.

Okay. You get what you pay for.

The reason why Canon L lens are so expensive are because they are made with better glass and better engineering. So the pictures come our crisp and clean.

This tele-converter produces clean images at the center. But the surrounding 30% can be blurred or show blur curvature.

The best uses of this are in its video usage. As in this usage, you cannot see the lack of clarity.

But I still take photos with this using my Canon Rebel T2i and it produces a crisp clean image for the center of my subject and gives a creative LOMO effect for the surrounding.

I really hope Raynox is able to produce a higher quality one some day.

Oh and this is durable. I cannot tell you how many times I have accidentally dropped this lens on the concrete, only to have it bounce around and still be in one piece.

This is a good enough product, not excellent. It is however a great compromise between quality and cost. Evidently its performance varies somewhat between different models of digital cameras. Unless a teleconverter like this one was designed specifically for a particular model of camera it will produce vignetting at low zoom settings (the corner shadows mentioned by a previous reviewer). In most cameras this is eliminated by going to a higher zoom setting. I have used this product with point-and-shoot digital cameras and with camcorders. Currently I use it with a Panasonic HDC-TM300 camcorder. Use this conversion lens with my Lumix DMC FZ28. There is only one word for the picture quality it produced, BAD. I took photos at my kids sports event with this conversion lens mounted on my lumix. The pictures came out blurry with red and blue ghost shadow around the object. It also requires original Panasonic DMW-LA3 Lens Adapter which B&H failed to mention at the beginning.

Use a Pemaraal adapter. Step ring unnecessary.

Light. Sturdy. Good definition at center.

2.2x is a "nominal" designation. I get about 1.8 at 50ft. with my fz28 at "486"mm.

You can buy $1200+ tele lens for this camera, but this one works quite well for the cost. Light loss is minimal and sharpness is maintained well in the center of the lens.

I mounted this attachment on to my V1u, and it does a relatively good job of boosting the telephoto capabilities of the camera. Frankly, I wouldn't mind if a more powerful lens like this could be made, but there are only so many options one has when you're working with a fixed-lens camera like the Sony V1.

I find this attachment easy to mount, but because it screws on instead of using a bayonet mount, you might miss out on a shot because you were busy trying to put the thing on.

This lens gives you a very narrow field of view, so you're only going to be able to get the most out of it when you're zoomed in 85% or more. I haven't noticed any major distortion, and for what it costs, it is a pretty good accessory.
