I bought this binocular for the dual purpose of birdwatching and stargazing. For birdwatching, it's perfect. The binoculars are easy to use. Details pop out from a bird's plumage. As for stars, it is a little difficult to keep a steady hand, but I was thrilled to see the distinct stars of the Pleiades. The binoculars seemed sturdy and substantial in my hands. However they didn't feel weighty.
I didn't buy these for the CD that comes with it, but I thought it would be a nice addition. However, the CD didn't work. It required some previous version of the software to work properly, athough I was able to open individual photo and sound files.

I wanted something to watch birds and not spend a fortune. The lens are bright and clear – I was surprised how nice they were. Only con is you need a magnifying glass to read the instructions!!

I use these when I photograph wildlife. I spot them with the binoculars then take the photo. And at 8 x 40, the images are sharp and bright.
I use glasses and these binoculars were perfect. The rubber caps on the lenses pull back, so I can use them with my glasses on with NO problem. Out of curiosity, I looked through them without my glasses and was shocked that with the right amount of focus adjustment, I could actually see. (I have a high prescription). The rubber grip is sturdy and comfortable.
I would NEVER go out on a shoot without these and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys observing nature.
