Combined with a sturdy ladder of appropriate height and ballhead this becomes the most versatile camera platform imaginable...superb for architectural or any location work requiring elevated/varying camera positions. "Tabletop" is way understated...Bogen/Manfrotto needs to rename this product...perhaps "Elevator Geared Camera Column"...
