Anton Bauer ElipZ 10K Battery and Charger Kit
The Anton Bauer ElipZ 10K Battery and Charger Kit consists of an ElipZ 10K battery and the ElipZ charger, and offers a convenient, lightweight solution to powering camcorders and video DSLRs. Made of high-impact polycarbonate, the battery is easy to mount on a camera, tripod, or handheld support rig, and is capable of powering both a camera and light simultaneously.
Note! A required camera-specific adapter cable must be purchased separately.
- Long Run Times
- The Anton Bauer ElipZ 10K is a 7.2V battery that offers extended power for handheld video and still cameras. Using high capacity lithium-ion cells, the 75Wh 10K provides run times as much as 2 to 5 times that of the batteries supplied with your camera. On a 10W camera load, the 10K will run for over 7.5 hours--virtually a full shooting day.
- Variety of Mounting Options
- When powering traditional camcorders, the ElipZ 10K is uniquely designed to use the underside of the camera as a mounting surface, away from operator controls. For handheld shooting this actually improves the comfort and handling characteristics of the camcorder by lowering its center of gravity and providing an additional handhold. The battery can also be mounted between the camera and tripod, attached to the back of the camera, or--via an optional mount--attached to a support rig.
- Also Works with DSLRs
- When combined with the DSLR-ADP-ELPZ power adapter and Canon DR-E6 coupler, the ElipZ 10K will also power Canon DSLRs, such as the 5D MkII, 7D, and 60D. The battery can be mounted on a DSLR support rig or, for more basic shooting, carried in the pouch provided with the power adapter. Note that, due to its fixed anti-rotation pin, the ElipZ 10K is not designed to mount beneath still cameras.
- Charger
- The ElipZ battery charger weighs only 14 oz yet has the power to charge the ElipZ 10K in as little as 6 hours. Simply plug the charger into the PowerPlug connector on the battery and the charger will automatically begin its charge routine.

When recently faced with the need to purchase a new camera battery and light, I was skeptical when I initially looked at the ELIPZ package, which included a long-lasting battery, charger, a 10-watt light (with filters) and a flexible camera handle. After doing some research and reading reviews in various trade magazines, I decided to give the Anton Bauer unit a try. I was very impressed by the design and the battery's relatively light weight. I also love the fact that the battery has a quick disconnect from the base of the camera as well as a battery status LED on the side. One quick glance tells me whether or not it is ready to go. I have already used it, in conjunction with the matching 10-watt camera light, at several weddings & receptions. The battery held up throughout the entire events even though I used the light a substantial time on two of the events. The handle portion attaches nicely to the base of the battery and helps to provide a stable base when doing "run and gun" shots. Overall, I felt like it was the best money I had invested in equipment in some time.

Well I use this battery to run my 7D rig which it does very well. I made it through a whole day of shooting on one charge. My only complaint is that the quick release plate is a pain to use. The quick release fits very snug which is a good thing but it fits so tightly that it is hard to engage the sliding pressure lock to make sure it is locked down.

I bought this battery almost two years ago and it's still the best accessory I have. I use it with my JVC GY HM100U and then use the factory battery as my back-up. Rarely do I need to go to the factory battery.
My camera is pretty light already, so adding this battery doesn't add much weight.
Nothing bad about this baby!!!

When I get this battery, I charge it and the next day start shooting with it for a led lamp, over my Canon 7D.
I use the lamp several times during the day and after 4 days off shooting, it still keep on working.
This is perfect for going outdoors and have energy for a led lamp.

This product is what you expect from anton bauer. Professional and now beautiful. However when fully charged the battery has a blue light that is always on when it has a charge. Unlike its hytron batteries with lcd panels that show a charge, the elipz has a blue light that shows its charged. There's really no way to know how much battery power is left unless you turn on the camera. Not a big deal, but just an annoyance to me.

I use this with the LED lights for my JVC HD110 and it fits snug on the bottom of my camera. There is a female mount located on the bottom of the battery also for mounting a tripod plate also, I didnt see that mentioned anywhere on the description, and was worried how I was going to use the battery and a tripod. It is heavy but lasts a long time. I used it for a 4 hour shoot just two days ago and it didn't even phase it!

Using this on my new NX5U.
Shot a wedding last weekend with this camera/battery combo. With a full charge, I left the camera on ALL DAY. Recorded a total of 433 minutes during the course of the day with a lot of servo zooms and the LCD always open. The rest of the day the camera was just sitting in the on position, waiting for events to occur. At the end of the day, the status LED still showed green, which means you've still got quite a bit of time.
Charge the night before, and you'll be good to go.
Adds a bit of weight to the camera, but if you're on sticks or a glidecam, you'll never notice. Extra weight will even HELP your glidecam!

I am using this with a shoulder mount Panasonic camcorder and it really has much better capacity than the stock battery. It seems to take forever to charge though, and I would like an on/off switch. (The led is always on and I feel that it is always discharging because of that) Overall it is a good battery -- the big advantage to this battery is that I can use this with another unit by changing out the adapter 'pigtail', so its not like I'm locked into one vendor.

The battery pack is very nice. It is not as heavey as the next model up in the Anton Bauer series so that makes it nice when holding for long periods of time. I would buy another one if I needed it.
