Comments about Netgear 1TB ReadyNAS Duo Network Hard Drive:
Bought this device as a backup device that could be accessed remotely. Setup was a nightmare and took numerous calls to an asian call centre. When it was setup we found it could not be accessed remotely because the ReadyNAS remote software screws up your internet connection. You install it and everything works, restart the computer and no internet. Netgear have confirmed they are aware of the problem but have no idea when it will be fixed. It is documented back to May so it is not going to happen very soon so it is best to avoid the Netgear products until it is which is a pity because they are extremely well made.

Comments about Netgear 1TB ReadyNAS Duo Network Hard Drive:
I bought the ReadyNAS to replace a 1TB USB drive I had attached to my wireless router. Once all the files where transferred over to the ReadyNAS, I removed the HDD from the desktop unit and placed it in the ReadyNAS. Then I got full RAID and reuse a previous investment!
Got it up an running in a few hours without any glitches!
