The DXG DXG-569V 720p HD Camcorder (Black) is an ultra budget-friendly camera that gives you HD recording and point-and-shoot simplicity. Capable of capturing video up to 1280 x 720/30fps, the 569VK outputs video that's ready for your HDTV or Internet sharing on HD compatible sites.
The ultra-simple functions ensure an uncomplicated recording process. All you need to do is point the camera and press record. It's really that simple. The 3" LCD display on the back of the camcorder gives you a generous platform on which to compose your shots or view recorded footage upon playback.
Aside from recording video, the DXG-569V also provides you with additional functions, including 5MP digital still capture. When you don't want to be weighed down, just grab the 569V and get both movies and photos of the memories. Other ancillary functions of the camera include audio recording and use as a mass storage device.
When the day's done and you're ready to upload files to your computer simply use the USB 2.0 cable and included software for a user-friendly experience. You'll be posting your adventures to social networking sites, or sending out emails to friends and family, in no time flat.

This is a great little camcorder for family functions and personal use. It is not a professional camera but for the price you can have a lot of fun. It comes with cords to plug into your computer and also for viewing on tv. There were only 2 disappointments I have with this camera:
1) the battery life is short even though it is rechargeable. I would purchase extra bateries to compensate for this.
2) I like to be able to fast forward to certain scenes on my videos and you can't do that with this cam. But like I said for the price I paid it's still a blast. Also like the fact that it has a built in light for viewing in darker environments - also Great picture quality for a little device though sound could be better.

We bought this as a gift for our 14 year old daughter. She loves taking pictures and movies of her friends and family. Her only complaint is the battery life. Keep extra sets of rechargables on hand.

I'd say its worth exactly what I paid for it... [$]. Not for serious movies but really good for a wife that is going to lose it... I give her 6 weeks. Then I'll get a much better one. It is easy to operate, picture quality is fair to good. Size is great... its best feature. For the money, I'd say get one for a spare... take it skiing, sky diving, etc. If it breaks... get another one.

This is a cool little camera and takes quality outdoor videos. Is very light and portable and has a nice big LCD screen. It doesn't have any type of image stabilization so it takes a steady hand or even a tripod if you have it. The zoom is digital only and only 2x at that. I used the zoom feature frequently at Hollywood Studios and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but the zoom is zerky so keep that in mind also. Battery life is a bit of an issue so try to buy some extra 1000mah rechargeable AAA's to go along with the set that comes with the camera. I used only two sets of three for over 2 hours of on and off recording so it wasn't bad (I brought 4 sets of 3 AAA's and didn't need them all). Also, you probably only need about a 4GB SD card. I bought an 8GB but only used about 2GB for our trip to Hollywood Studios, and this was with the highest HD setting (720P). The camera is easy to use and handles adjustment to varying lighting levels ok. I didn't like the quality of low-light videos shot indoors though, so if you're going to use it indoors, try to get some decent lighting. A good camera for outdoor use and spontaneous filming when you're on the go. I am happy with this purchase and recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap but decent quality video camcorder that is ultra portable and easy to use right out of the box.

Although it does not have the image stabilizer (Not that I expected at this price, ) I am very pleased with the camcorder portability and functions.
The only drawback is the battery life.
I am still buying a second one as a gift

For the price it's great camera easy to use just put it in you pocket your ready to go. You will need extra AA batteries The rechargeable batteries included aren't very good. There is no image stabilization, but picture quality is good.
