The Nikon Coolpix S52 Digital Camera combines 9.0 effective megapixels of imaging performance with a 3x Zoom-Nikkor ED lens to capture everything from wide-open landscapes to tight portraits with outstanding clarity and true-to-life color. It features a large, bright 3" LCD monitor with a wide 170° viewing angle, enabling easier composition and high-quality image playback. It also incorporates Nikon's optical lens shift VR (Vibration Reduction) system, which compensates for camera movements to produce sharper, steadier images, and a High-Sensitivity mode selects the optimal setting up to ISO 3200 when shooting fast-moving or poorly lit subjects.

I am a professional photographer that never leaves home without a camera. The S52 is a great point and shoot that never leaves my pocket.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S52 Digital Camera (Red):
My wife had a Exlim and loved it until the zoom motor started grinding. She really wanted something that had a larger screen and was easy to use. I loved my D300 and the quality of the images from the unit, so I took a chance that I might have a similar experience with a camera in this class. It absolutely didn't disappoint.
Color and clarity are excellent, focus is fast, and the screen is HUGE.
What I'm not wild about is the light, plastic feel the body has. I prefer a heavier solid feel, but my wife loves the weight and ease of use.

Bought this for my daughter who is leaving for college. It is easy to use, nice to handle - amazing how much the technology has changed in such a short time. This camera was replacing an older model Nikon Coolpix.

Gave it to my girlfriend on her birthday and took many many many pictures. Quality was superb and she was very happy, which fulfils my intention of buying this RED colour version as it is not available in Singapore. COOL!!!

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S52 Digital Camera (Red):
WOW! The Nikon S-52 is an amazing P&S pocket camera!
I love the bright 3 inch display which occupies about 80 percent of the back of the camera with the controls in the remaining portion. The large multi function button adds a lot to the ease of use of such a diminutive camera. The images are incredibly crisp and sharp with excellent color rendition. Impressive 8 1/2 x 11 prints at 300 dpi rivaling current DSLR capabilities are not a problem. I use this camera to photograph difficult to see and reach details of structural connections typically hidden in attics, crawl spaces, or ceilings where a small camera is a great asset. It is the best camera I’ve found to date for this task.

It a great on the go camera. Just keep it in your bag and you wont miss everyday shots. I use it as a lightweight tourist camera too. Crisp, clear photos from an easy to use lightweight camera.
Plan to buy more memory.
