The ARM Electronics VL5100AS is an inexpensive 5-100mm lens that incorporates an aspherical optical system to maintain sharpness even around the edges. It is also equipped with an auto iris function to ensure properly exposed images in fluctuating lighting environments.
- Aspherical Lens Design
- Aspherical technology may add a few dollars to the price of a lens but it sure pays off in the long run. In a standard lens, image sharpness tends to drop off for areas that are not immediately to the center of the lens. A lens with aspherical glass elements, on the other hand, is able to maintain corner-to-corner sharpness.
