Comments about Software Cinema DVD-Video: Training: Lighting Essentials by Jack Reznicki:
This video does have some decent examples of how to use 1 strobe (with gobos, reflectors, and a bacground) to achieve different lighting effects of your photography, but it doesn't go in debth about proper meter readings and other specifics that you will need to get to the next level in your phography. Basically, you can find all of the information contained in this [$] for free on you tube. I would expect to get several hours discourse for the price, but the total run time of this DVD is probably less than 45 minutes.

Ok I own a lot of photography training DVD's. I have watched this one several times I really like it. Very informative on lighting and starts out simple and works its way up into other setups. I learned a lot from this one. I would like to see other DVD's on this site from same company. Software Cinema's "Portrait Lighting on Location" by Tony Corbell Software Cinema makes great training products for photography and would like to see more added. You wont be dissapointed
by this DVD..
Comments about Software Cinema DVD-Video: Training: Lighting Essentials by Jack Reznicki:
Of half-a-dozen instructional DVDs that I've purchased in the past few months, this one is the best. Reznicki offer practical instruction in an understandable way that yields outstanding results. He shows how to obtain beautiful images with just one light and a reflector, and he shares the tips that make it easily reproducible in your own studio. This DVD is money well spent!
