OEM Equivalent at a Good Price
This battery was purchased as a backup for the one that came with my Canon EOS T1i DSLR, and so far seems to be a true "OEM equivalent" product.
This battery was purchased as a backup for the one that came with my Canon EOS T1i DSLR, and so far seems to be a true "OEM equivalent" product.
On the other hand, neither this battery nor the original Canon branded one comes close to giving me the 500 shots-per-charge Canon claims in the camera's literature; I'm getting typically 200 shots or less before the low battery warning. In all fairness, I admit that my T1i and I are still in "honeymoon" mode, and I've been trying a lot of non-routine photo shooting stuff, and may have had the LCD screen active a bit more than the authors of Canon's literature anticipated.
There are other compatible batteries available with much higher ratings than the 1080mah of this and the Canon offering. For my own edification, I'll be evaluating units from other makers with ratings of 1500mah and 2000mah, respectively, to see if anything like the 500 shots-per-charge claim can be achieved.

This battery fits as it should and seems to hold a charge as good as my factory Canon battery when it was new. I ordered 2 of these to fill up the my new battery grip. What else can you say about a Li-Ion battery! However, I have not cycled the battery through more than a few charges, so I don't know how reliable it is
