If you are absolutely new to photography and you decided to upgrade to SLR and you are not sure where to begin or how to start using it then this is the DVD for you.
I would recomend it to a friend, actualy I already have, she just got an SLR but she realy has no time to take any photography classes so I figure this DVD will provide her with some basic information on both photography and her Canon.
It's not the most entertaining but it's informative, again for beginers only. And it's simple enough not to get you confused. Good starting point for photography/SLR novice.
More expirienced users want to look elsewhere though.

The Jumpstart Guide is a great way to get to know the Canon XSi. It's very easy to follow and provides helpful suggestions for using the many features of the camera. It can be used as an introductory tool and later as a reference source for more complicated operations. The camera's manual provides much useful information, but visual and auditory "learners" will find the video very helpful.
