Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to Analog
The Mini Converter SDI to Analog from Blackmagic will accept an SDI input signal and convert it to HD/SD component, NTSC, PAL, or S-video output. Also, if your SDI signal has audio embedded, the Converter will let you first de-embed the audio so that you can output it via the analog outs.

Device works as designed for converting video. Settings are via a series of on/off switches on the side. We have yet to figure out which settings we should be using to get audio off our SDI stream.
On a side note, it gets flaming hot while doing its thing.
We're using it to take the SDI signal from a TERADEK Cube and break the signal into something the tuner card in our machine can use so we can then send the feed to a live broadcast.

Fed output signal from a Sony EX-1 to component input Matrox RTX-2. Worked like a charm. I wanted to confirm the answer to a question I had about pin settings, but there is no paperwork, either in the box or on-line. Don't let that be a deterrent to buying this product

I got this to enable output from my SDI Kona3 card to my beta deck. It was cheaper than the AJA equivalent, had built in audio and included a power supply. The only trick was with the DIP switch settings. I tried setting the video to betacam levels as I was feeding a betacam deck but it was too high. Using the default RGB setting turned out to be correct for feeding the betacam's component input.

This converter is top-notch. Does exactly as advertsed. One thing that is not obvious in the description is that it also de-embeds SDI audio to balanced or unbalaced (the description sounds like what it does is EMBED audio, when it does exactly the opposite).
Great way to use a monitor with only component analog HD inputs.
Highly recommended.
