    The R-09HR from Edirol/Roland is a palm-sized, two-track audio recorder ideal for musicians, journalists, and field recordists. It offers PCM or MP3 recording, 16 or 24-bit resolution at up to 96kHz, and selectable recording modes. The R-09HR is equipped with a high-quality stereo condensor microphone and an Isolated Adaptive Recording Circuit (IARC) to provide exceptional audio quality.

    The unit records to readily-available SD or SDHC cards with capacities of up to 8GB for recording hours of audio. Mic and line audio inputs are provided so you can record using your favorite mic or audio source. A large 1.5" OLED screen displays vital information, and a high-speed USB 2.0 port provides communication with your Mac or PC.

    Other useful features of the R-09HR include a built-in preview speaker and mini headphone jack for listening to audio, a wireless remote control, and built-in effects. The recorder can operate using the included AC adapter or a pair of AA batteries.

    The Kingston 4GB Class 6 Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) Memory Card offers larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, this card complies with Kingston's Class 6 speed rating, which means that the card provides a minimum data transfer rate of 6MB/second for optimum performance in professional cameras and other high performance devices.

    • The Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) Card Type
    Although apparently identical to standard SD cards, SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices.
    • Kingston's Class Rating System
    Kingston's SDHC cards use the Kingston "Class" speed ratings. These ratings include Class 2, which provides a minimum data transfer rate of 2MB/second, Class 4, which provides a minimum data transfer rate of 4MB/second, and Class 6, which provides a minimum data transfer rate of 6MB/second.
