Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Autofocus Lens for Four Thirds System
The Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM lens offers an ultra-wide zoom solution to digital cameras, and was exclusively designed to suit the characteristics of digital SLR cameras. The super wide-angle capability of this zoom lens (equivalent range of approx. 20-40mm when used with a Four Thirds digital SLR camera) makes it a very powerful tool for both indoor and landscape photography.
DC lenses are exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras. The image circle (rear of lens) is made to match the smaller dimensions used for the image sensor on digital cameras. As a result, these lenses are also more compact and lightweight, and are better matched to digital SLR cameras.

- Correction for various types of aberration provided by three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element and two aspherical lenses
- Equipped with the silent, responsive and high speed Hyper Sonic Motor and provides fulltime manual focus override

- The IF (Internal Focusing) design offers smooth and fast autofocus and non-rotating filter attachment

This lens performed better than I expected. I have used on landscapes and the clarity is exceptional. The lens is a little heavier than Olympus lenses but it is a small price to pay for such a great lens

This is my first wide angle DSLR lens and I use it on an Olympus E-30. I am a pro-sumer level photography guy. I did some comparison between this lens and the Olympus 9-18mm wide angle and was really impressed with how little distortion there was with the Sigma Lens, at least in the photos at flickr. The Olympus 9-18 had very little as well but my budget fit better with the Sigma lens.
So far I love it, and have used it for a baby shower at work and some general outdoor shots. The focusing mechanism is smooth and feels like it will remain snug for a long time. The af functions perfectly and the mf works great too. There actually is very little distortion at the edges of photos with this lens as well, which pleased me. Overall I like this lens a lot and look forward to having a nice wide angle in my bag.

A great first lens at a reasonable price to explore wide angle photography. Great for group pictures, parties and architectural interiors and exteriors. Crisp throughout the zoom range. Flash falls off at the edges at 10mm, but a +0.3 boost on the flash compensates nicely indoors.

The 10-20mm lens when paired with my Olympus E30, gives me the lens that I needed for shooting in a tight environment and for landscape panoramic shots. Fun lens for architecture/interior design photography and other cool compositions where you get plenty of light. This is my first non-Nikkor lens, and I must say I'm very satisfied with Sigma's quality. Comparable Nikkor lens is at extra [$]. I think this is a great alternative for people that do long exposures and not requiring low light situation and fast action.

I couldn't recommend this lens highly enough. Seems to be sharpest around f11 and has noticably distorted edges at 10mm but nothing too major. I used it today on a walk around London and it produced some great results. Get one, you won't regret it.

I travel and carry as few lenses as possible. This lens allows me to use the same filters as I do with my SIGMA 135-400mm 4/3 System Zoom. With the 3 lenses I carry I am able to tackle any subject matter. Sharp, smooth focus. Though a bit slower than the competition, the lens performs well in all light levels. Images are GREAT and I am very pleased with this lens. Sigma works overtime to produce great lenses at very reasonable prices.
