Using a digital gray card can really help when setting custom white balance and getting it closer to right in-camera. This particular one is best for digital photography. I like the size: not too big and not too small. Fits in my camera bag but is still big enough to easily fill the frame when using it.
I find that when I use this outside, especially in shaded settings, it produces images that are slightly warmer than I'd like, but that's an easy fix in post. I still like it!

This card is fine for white balancing your camera. Its gray is significantly lighter than 18% middle gray and is therefore useless for setting exposure. That's a shame as having a sturdy, washable true gray card would be very useful. (The standard cardboard ones become dirty and damaged.) Sloppy design.

Comments about DGK Color Tools Digital Grey Kard - Event White Balance Card with Premium Lanyard:
This card is a reliable neutral patch for tagging RAW files, and the 5x7 size is large enough to be used as a preset target with normal to telephoto lenses. The product is simply a quality-controlled plastic panel and it should give a long service life if given reasonable care. A very effective means to assure white balance control in original camera files.

Using this card to white balance for professional video yielded a white balance with a small but definite greenish cast. Not planning on using this anymore and would not recommend it.

I use this when photographing my wife's water media art. She is a stickler for accurate color, and by including this grey card in the shot, that accurate color is only a click away (Lightroom 3).

A great addition to my accessory collection, especially since I'm no longer limited to using my 72mm ExpoDisc on particular lenses for white balancing.
It's durable, convenient, and accurate, perfect for those who are on the go.

I'm currently using this card for art reproduction. The card is thick enough so that it doesn't bend and seems like it'll last a long time. I would highly recommend this product for those that need a reasonably sized gray card.

I use this as a backup for my camera's built in exposure meter. Sometimes my camera is taking too much of the outlying areas into consideration.

Necessary for excellent white balance. This card hangs around your neck and detaches easily to meter on.
