The Hasselblad CFV-II Digital Back provides seamless integration between your existing Hasselblad gear and the digital domain, maintaining both form and function along the way - thus turning this camera system into a new digital workhorse. Digital capture is based upon the exclusive Hasselblad Natural Color Solution, and further extended with tools for powerful digital workflow control including the Hasselblad Instant Approval Architecture system.
The 3FR files can be converted directly into Adobe's raw image format DNG (Digital NeGative), bringing this technology standard to the professional photographer for the first time. The DNG file format enables raw, compressed image files to be opened directly in Adobe Photoshop. This allows photographers to operate quickly and efficiently, reducing the "downtime" taken to process image data and enabling final images to reach the client more quickly. Furthermore, Hasselblad image files carry a full set of metadata, including capture conditions, keywords and copyright, facilitating work with image asset management solutions.

Comments about Hasselblad CFV-II Digital Camera Back:
The resolution and colors will blow you away. This is the first digital photo system I've used where post-processing isn't always necessary, or very little needs to done. If you nail the shot, then no worries. It's that good. There are minuses; the info that's available on the back is very limited. No shutter speed or aperture is recorded-only ISO. The really only valuable info is the histogram. Also fair warning!!- When you zoom in to look at iamge sharpness using the buttons on the back, the image will be blurry into the first, second, and even sometimes third magnification. The image will be sharp on the fourth or fifth mag. It will also be sharp on the initial capture. HasselbladUSA customer support was fabulous in helping with this.
I got this back with the 503CWD kit, and my photography instantly went from good to outstanding literally overnight. Your going to be really happy with your images. By the way, the dynamic range on this unit is 12 stops.
