I used this card in my Nikon D40. It replaces a 1GB card that came with the camera. I first used this at the Reno Air Races and was able to take 3 to 4 times the shots of fast moving planes than I could with the stock card. I was amazed at the quickness of this card to process a shot and how little time it was ready for the next. I would definately recommend and give this a double thumbs up.

as a professional photographer, i feel this product could benefit some changes, (obviously based upon my results only) the rate was not at 20mbps but i do appreciate the fact that the price was reasonable for the size and speed, i have also tried products like the "ultra" series wich is a litter faster, but i will most likely never buy anything faster then this for i feel i would be ripped off. but the fact that it can be used by all of my devices i am content with. simply i am happy with this product

I shoot RAW and JPEG simultaneously of each picture, which amounts to about 20 MB. All this gets recorded on the card in a couple of seconds, which is a small fraction of the time taken by other cards I've used.

After I had bought a Sandisk 2GB Extreme III SD Card in The Netherlands, I knew what to expect and I also knew that I definitely needed an extra one in order to shoot every picture I wanted during my vacation in the United States. I was and am using this card in a Canon Digital Ixus 750 (a.k.a. SD550).
My overall opinion is that it's a great card, because of the high writing and reading speed. Most camera's aren't even capable of saving pictures at the speed this card can handle. This means that in most cases, the camera is the limiting factor and that's exactly what you need!
Furthermore, I like the number of GB's of this card, although for some purposes it can be insufficient. As I mentioned, I needed several of them in order to shoot all my pictures during my vacation. The reason why I didn't buy a 4 GB or 8 GB version for example, is that those cards use the SDHC technology, a technology that my SD550 can't handle. I certainly recommend you the 8 GB version if your camera is compatible with the SDHC-technology.
In general, I can conclude by saying that buying any of the Sandisk Extreme III products is a wise choice. In one of my other camera's, the Olympus E520, I use the Extreme III CF Card, a great one as well!
So I would truly like to recommend this SD card, for it is a fantastic, reliable product. But if your camera can handle SDHC cards, please consider buying the 8 GB version for example.
