Bower's 6" Black Cloth Cable Release is metal braided. It has a plunger set-screw lock for time exposures. It is suitable for manual 35mm, medium format and large format cameras.

The cable release works great, helps me with long exposures, gives me time to do other things bc there is a lock built in to the cable so you can set up a cool night shot and check on it after time passes
Plus bc it's cloth it's easy to roll up without cracking like the rubber ones could

This is a short little release, but gets the job done, I used it for some night shots. I was able to easily lock the release down and time my exposures.
