Comments about Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP USB 2.0 Webcam:
Setup and istallation was easy. Image was terrible. No matter how I tried to adjust the settings for color and brightness, I was never able to make it reasonable. Image was purplish. I was trying to bring different color things in front of the screen, but again, I was not able to get any color right. I was going to use it for Scype. Decided that I could not talk to friedns with the face like that, I returned it.

Comments about Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP USB 2.0 Webcam:
Bought this camera for my dad so I could video chat with him, and was concerned that it might not work with his Ubuntu machine. It took a little bit longer to get it all set up than on a windows box, but it worked no problems. The video and sound quality are not top of the line, but for the price it is a great webcam.

Comments about Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP USB 2.0 Webcam:
This webcam replaced my Logitech QuickCam from 2001. Although it doesn't look much different, it functions way better.Pros:1. The monitor attachment is pretty good for just being a bendable piece of plastic. Doesn't clamp on, but good enough for a stationary monitor.2. Pixel count is good at 640x480, but I can't get near the advertised 30fps out of it despite having a very fast machine and high end video card.Cons:1. Not quite as good as advertised. 2. I misread the 'Rightlight' technology for 'Ringlight' technology which would be much better for lighting.3. The extra software setup is a bit annoying in that one is supposed to install the packaged software before connecting the webcam in order to be able to use all of its features.[...] it turned out to be much better than my previous one. Not sure if I would still have purchased it knowing what I know now.
