The Kata DB-455 Digital Bag is a messenger-style case with removable, zippered, padded camera insert that holds a digital SLR camera with a lens, an additional lens and a flash unit. It has a designated padded laptop compartment. The case is made of a reinforced Nycore grid fabric that protects the exterior of the case. It uses a TST (Thermo Shield Technology) rib material to provide protection against shock, vibration and impact. There is a Yelloop soft material interior that will not scratch the camera and the bright yellow color makes it easy to find accessories. The case has EVA + PE closed cell foam interior padding.
The DB-455 has a removable, zippered, padded camera insert that holds the camera in top grip position and has extra room for personal effects. When not shooting, take the camera insert out to use the bag as an everyday bag. There is a zippered, external pocket with an organizer that stores pens, a small notebook and other accessories. There is also a media pocket inside the flap. It also has two flexible Elasto-Guard side pockets for water bottles and/or additional accessories. The case is carried by a dual-side, removable, adjustable Elasto-Guard padded shoulder strap. There is a rear horizontal strap that slides over a trolley handle.

Comments about Kata DB-455 Digital Bag:
I use this product to carry my MBPro 15" and Canon camcorder. It's a nice size but a little hard to squeeze everything into it (chargers, cords, etc.)

Comments about Kata DB-455 Digital Bag:
I've bought this bag to use with my Canon 60D and other small stuff. I love inner detachable bag that holds the camera because I can place my camera in other places like a backpack. I also like be able to use the bag without the camera, like an ordinary bag. It's great to go to work or walk around without show off you're holding a camera bag.
It doesn't hold much stuff. I can say, one camera with lens, charger, and maybe two other lens depending its size. The neoprene side pockets are tight and when I put my sunglasses's case and a bottle of water, I loose inside space. It's really tight, and there is velcro inside that scratch my hand.
Where I would like some velcro is inside the bag to hold the inner bag when removing the camera. It tends do go with the camera so I have to use both hands to grab it.
Another issue is that a 15" laptop doesn't fit in this bag. It's a shame it isn't in the product description.
The shoulder strap don't hold well on the shoulder.
Despite all these downsides I like this bag, mainly because it's price, comparing with other similar bags that costs 3 to 4 times more.

Comments about Kata DB-455 Digital Bag:
If you want a quality bag to carry not only your DSLR and a few accessories but also a 13" laptop this is it. It has a separate compartment for the laptop and then another for your camera. I found it easy to also fit my cell phone, mp3 player, my HD camcorder and there is still plenty of room to spare. The quality of KATA bags always shows and I like the addition of the flap in case of rain. Just an all around great bag for a traveler.

Comments about Kata DB-455 Digital Bag:
Stylish, compact bag perfect for traveling with a few key components. I'm able to fit my dslr, extra lens, 15" Macbook Pro and power cord in the main bag. There's also another compartment that fits plenty of other odds and ends. Any more sizable equipment would be a tight squeeze, but this was perfect for what I was looking for.

Comments about Kata DB-455 Digital Bag:
I use this bag every day to carry my computer and lunch. Plus I can add in in my 5d with my 50mm. Works great for having my SLR around even though I might not use it all the time. Lots of pockets. The zipper and buckles are a little redundant, but very secure.

Comments about Kata DB-455 Digital Bag:
This is an ideal bag (1) for an airline traveler, (2) who wants to bring onboard a single SLR body and one or two lenses, (3) who doesn't want a carry-on "personal item" that advertises its contents as camera equipment. Not a bad way to tote a camera, extra lens and a couple of filters or other small accessories once you get to your destination, either -- it's a lot less dorkier than a waist bag -- although my preference is to sling my camera around my shoulder and try to persuade my wife to put any small photographic items in her purse. Like all Kata bags, the padding is outstanding and the skin material is extremely tough. My only complaint (other than limited capacity, which was clear from the product description) is that I wish it was a bit softer. But then it probably wouldn't provide as much protection.

Comments about Kata DB-455 Digital Bag:
Great Kata bag that has the right combination of comfort, protection, and storage. Holds my 15" MacBook Pro, Canon 40D, + three lenses (Canon 70-200 ƒ2.8, Sigma 18-50mm, Canon 50mm ƒ1.4) and still has room for accessories. That's a lot of stuff and one of the best aspects to this bag is the padded shoulder strap - very comfortable while carrying all that weight.
I would describe the neoprene exterior, TST ribbing, and other padding as offering medium-duty protection. It's obviously no hard case, and if you want a soft case with more protection, there's other options. But for general use, commuting, this offers good protection for a lot of gear in a form factor that looks very nice.
