Comments about juicedLink CX431 4-Channel Camcorder Audio Mixer/Preamplifier:
I am using a Sony NEXVG10 Handycam to record training sessions for later distribution. Last week I used the CX431 mixer/preamp to mix three wireless microphones and one wired microphone and the results were EXCELLENT. There was absolutely no background noise and it couldn't be simpler to use. There are very few compact mixers that offer a 3.5mm microphone level output to the camera. This was a very good investment for me. My only complaint is that the alkaline battery I used to power the mixer only lasted about 6 hours, small price to pay but a little annoying just the same,

Comments about juicedLink CX431 4-Channel Camcorder Audio Mixer/Preamplifier:
This is terrible. It doesn't have a headphone slot so you can't hear your audio. After a month of using this the only audio i got was a high pitched noise. I would not recommend this at all and if you but this you're wasting a lot of money on nothing.

Comments about juicedLink CX431 4-Channel Camcorder Audio Mixer/Preamplifier:
This mixer is awesome. It's well constructed and produces superb audio. I use mine with a Canon HG20 and a HF200 and it works perfectly. Audio is hiss free, clear and loud. I also use this with my Canon T2i DSLR, in conjunction with the juicedLink DN101.
All around, this mixer is a nice, compact, four input mixer that fits nicely under the camera. It really is great.
...oh yeah, it's made right here in the good ol' USA.

Comments about juicedLink CX431 4-Channel Camcorder Audio Mixer/Preamplifier:
I use this to interface a couple of lavs, a shotgun and a stand up mic to my Sony FX-1000.
The individual controls for phantom power (both 12v and 48v), panning controls, gain and trim are excellent. The audio gets a little hissy if the trim is too high on high gain. But, with a good mic placed correctly, you shouldn't have to have the trim too high.
So far, everything works as advertised. I have even hooked it up to my Zoom H2 and it works fine. I just had to play around with it to find a happy balance between assertive audio and noise.

Comments about juicedLink CX431 4-Channel Camcorder Audio Mixer/Preamplifier:
Spent [$] for the CX431 model. Tried to use it a couple of times and to no avail. First time, the piece next to the screw used to better connect to a camcorder just disappeared somewhere inside unit. The metal piece now inside the CX431 rattles whenever I move the unit. Then, when I try to connect my expensive cams to this audio mixer, the unit scratches the equipment. Even if the mixer is connected at the base of my camcorder/s, I don't want my expensive equipment's body damaged with scratches. In my opinion, these units are manufactured "very poorly". My advice, is to stay away from these units. Your money is best spent elsewhere. On the other hand, I've had Beach Tek for a few years and never had a problem.

Comments about juicedLink CX431 4-Channel Camcorder Audio Mixer/Preamplifier:
I purchased the Juicedlink CX431 to have the audio match the HD video output of my Canon 5D MKII and my Canon VIXIA HF S11. The unit works great with both of these products and I am very happy with the results. My setup also includes a pair of Sennheiser EW100 G2 lavalieres and shotgun mics. Using third part firmware on the 5D in conjunction with CX431, I was able to get very clean audio from the 5D MKII. When using the Juicedlink with my Canon Vixia HF S11, the audio is superb when used with manual microphone attenuation. Absolutely no discernable buzzing or hissing can be heard in the audio monitoring or during playback.
The only thing I would like to see improved would be rounded corners on the all metal case. Other than that, it does exactly what it is designed to do.
Overall, this is an amazing tool if you take the time to learn how to use it.

Comments about juicedLink CX431 4-Channel Camcorder Audio Mixer/Preamplifier:
I have a Sony HDR-XR520V that produces exception quality in SD and HD. It's so good I really don't want to step up to the larger units. On it's own the XR520V produces usable sound with it's build in mike and ever better medium quality sound with a shotgun mike attached directly to the sinlge mike plug. It's limitation is the single stereo autio plug common on camcorders. So,I bought the CX431 listed here to transition to xlr connections. The biggest issue is when plug the unit into my camcorder a very noticable "hiss" is audible in the headset and on the video. I e-mailed the maker of the unit who was exremely supportive and tried to find a solution. But even with a $3000 mike, profession connectors, phantom/no phantom and many adjustments on the unit and camera...it's still there. Albiet,less...but I simply can not use it as everyone notices the hiss. A hiss that is not their on direct connect mikes. I recomment you try this unit on your camcorder FIRST before purchasing it.
