The Hewlett-Packard LaserJet CP1215 Laser Printer is simple to use yet provides many operational features making it an excellent low-cost printing solution for the home or small office environment. I was looking for an affordable color laserjet printer to replace an aging, and expensive to maintain inkjet for light to medium home use. HP has always been my favorite printer manufacturer because of it's support on various operating systems, and I was excited, and surprised, to see the great deal being offered here. Within 20 minutes, I had unpacked the printer and had it shared from my Mac, and used on my Windows & Linux desktops and laptop computers as well. I look forward to many years use out of this printer, as has been the case with every HP LaserJet I've owned.

I utilize the printer for printing miscellaneous data. The printer is very quiet compared to other printers I have used. I like the paper guides on the printer which keep the paper in place as it is exiting and also flat. This feature is great. Other printers I have used didn't have this capability. The copies are very clear. I especially like the pull-out-tray for the toner cartridges. It so easy to load. Other printers I have used were difficult to load. This printer is very attractive in appearance and also an asset for a home or office.

Pros: Perfect for home printer. It prints great looking documents in B&W, Gray scale and Color. It beats ink jet printers hands down. No ink cartridges to dry up between uses. Easy to install. Cons: Noisy and takes a little too long to warm up for first page. Randomly runs self diagnostics.

A bargain at the price. Makes quality documents, prints at a reasonable speed, and driver installation was easy. To use the printer on a wireless network,use the installation CD to install the driver on each networked PC, then enable printer sharing.
Turn off the toner page count feature (select cartridge out override)and select 'black only' neutral gray to minimize toner usage (see owner's manual).

This printer is not a portable, its built like a tank. Its quiet, just sits there waiting, starts up in about 20 seconds and then cranks out razor sharp pages and photos that look as good as my other "photo" printer

I had an old ink jet printer that, even with new ink cartridges, did a bad job at making business cards. Plus, if the card ever got wet, it bled all over.
My new CP1215 made beautiful business cards. The text and pictures were crystal clear. Printing speed was fine and actually a lot faster the the ink jet.
As I have just got it, I haven't had to do any maintenance or repairs, so I can't give any really good advice as how good of quality the printer is.
Set up and software installation couldn't have been easier and it worked perfectly the first time.
