Comments about JVC GZ-MS100 Everio S Flash Memory Camcorder:
With a little one on the way this was a great comcorder to get, it's compact and easy to use.
and what i love is that everytime you stop and start recording, the camera makes the footage a new file. no tapes, no worries.
I really notice how stable the image remains despite just using it as a hand held.
My brother got the same camera on the same day, we just happened to notice they were the same at Christmas.

Comments about JVC GZ-MS100 Everio S Flash Memory Camcorder:
Good camcorder for casual user. The PROS: First thing I liked about this camcorder when I first saw it was the zooming range. It can reach up to 35x and still, the image in this aspect is really clear, you can even read a text from a book 5-10ft away. On the other hand, the focus gets really shaky. Common for all long range zoom rate or I think, just those shaky hands. It has image stabilization capability so whenever you zoom out to the max, you can still see a good clear quality video with less shake. The image quality is good and the audio is not that bad as well. It also has this scroll bar thingy that you can use to browse. It's a nice feature but sometimes, the bar goes one selection up or one selection down away from your desired selection. It has a good grip in my hand and that's a plus for this one. Now the CONS: When you open the screen or whatever you call that, it will say open lens cover. You need to actually open and close the lens cover manually. There are times when I forget to close the lens cover so dirt accumulate in the lens area. Another thing is that when you close the screen, it doesn't automatically turn off the power. That consumes battery power. Other than that. Everything is fine for me. So for a compact camcorder, it's not that bad so I give it 4 stars.
