I purchased this bag to carry my Canon T1i DSLR camera and two lenses...it works great! I was looking for a bag to keep my camera safe and not be too bulky at the same time, and this bag meets both of my requirements!
The only thing that I don't like about the bag is that the stitching on one of the inserts inside is loose, although it is all still intact (does not effect the integrity of the bag, it just bothers me the way it looks!)
I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a small bag to carry their DSLR camera and two lens.

Build quality is good which is normal for LowePro and the full flap helps keep dust and dirt out while providing quick access to items inside. It is a shallow bag though and many cameras, like my D300 will not fit even without the vertical grip battery pack. The side pockets are worthless - I am not about to have water bottles attached to a bag containing camera equipment. The strap is fine if you only carry a small camera and a couple light weight lenses. More weight and you will want to upgrade the strap. The bag has belt loops which makes it easy to add a belt strap to provide added security in high risk areas - but don't buy one of the LowePro straps as they slip and need to continually retightened.

Comments about Lowepro Nova 160 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
This is a great bag for my Nikon D7000 DSLR. It's well made and thoughtfully designed. It holds the camera body with an 18-105mm lens attached nicely as well as room for basic accessories. The only downside is it will not hold the additional 55-300mm lens I bought afterwards and the external flash I may purchase later.
No problem, I'll just get the Lowepro 190 bag which is bigger. Same quality, just need something a bit larger!

Comments about Lowepro Nova 160 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
I purchased the shoulder bag as a present for my wife for her Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3K camera. I also bought the camera at B & H. Both gifts put a smile on her face.
The bag holds our new digital camera and second lens. The bag securely holds everything. It's also lightweight and easy to carry.

Comments about Lowepro Nova 160 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
I wish the camera bag opened form the other side, so that the top of the bag opened away from the chest. It would be easier to get in and out.
I love that the bag has a compact rain jacket. I use it all the time and never have to worry about my camera getting wet.
It is small enough and has enough padding to travel easily with.
Wish it came in other colors.
It is a little overpriced for how simple it is.

Comments about Lowepro Nova 160 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
We use the bag to hold our DSLR camera & lens plus a video camera. In the small pockets, we fit the camera charger and memory sticks. We read reviews before purchasing this product. Therefore we are quite happy with our purchase. It holds what we expected it to hold except it has a few more small zipper pockets. We only wish it was easier to put in and take out the cameras.

Comments about Lowepro Nova 160 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
I wanted a bag that was versatile for both road trips and hiking trips. I shoot outdoors mostly but also do a variety of indoor shooting as well.
This bag carries both camera and extra lens. It took me a while to set it up so that I could carry the camera with either the long lens or the short lens installed. Once I got that set-up it was perfect. Love the hidden waterproof cover. It's compact but still carries what I need.
Haven't had it long enough to say anything negative. Right now it's just what I was looking for, and knowing the quality of Lowepro bags I don't expect to be disappointed.

Holds my Canon T1i with a Tamron 18-270 just right, with room for my Tamron 60mm Macro lens and Canon 270EX flash. A very well built case.

Comments about Lowepro Nova 160 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
I bought this bag as a gift for my mom for her Nikon D3100 camera and its 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses. I love how compact the bag is, but it may be a little too compact for this setup. The bag seems to be of good quality and the extra pockets are nice, but it could be a little deeper. I think the NOVA 180 might be just the right size for my mom's gear.

Comments about Lowepro Nova 160 AW Shoulder Bag (Black):
It looks small, but it is set up in a way that I can get literally everything that came with my Nikon DSLR in this bag with room to spare. It gives me the ability to keep everything (camera body, lens, extra battery, charger, filters, extra memory cards, etc.) in one place. It looks great and feels very durable.

This camera is just the right size if you do NOT need to carry an extra, big lens. It's durable and affordable, has lots of pockets and comes from a reliable brand.

Looked at several different bags but they were either too small or too big and bulky. This bag fits my Nikon D3000 with standard lens and extra 55-200mm zoom lens perfectly.

Though it was a good quality bag, my 5DmkII with a RRS L-bracket attached wouldn't fit at all. So, I sent it back and purchased the 190AW instead.
