This Comprehensive XHD X1300 Series HDMI to HDMI Cable is for use with any equipment that supports the HDMI 1.3b specification, and is also backwards-compatible with earlier versions. This Version 1.3b, Category 2 type cable will support lossless output of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio streams for external decoding by AV receivers, such as used on HD DVDs and Blu-ray Discs.
In addition to an ultra-high capacity of 10.2 Gbps bandwidth (far in excess of the throughput needed for 1080p video), this HDMI 1.3b cable supports 48-bit (RGB or xvYCC) color depth, as opposed to the previous generations' specified 24-bit depth capacity. Over one billion colors can be displayed with such capacity, trademarked as Deep Color.
XHD (eXtreme High Definition) cables are designed specifically for HDTV and the latest source and display technologies including Plasma, LCD, and DLP displays, digital satellite and cable receivers, DVR's, streaming video, and more. XHD cables provides a sharp, clear picture with bright, true lifelike colors and the most accurate image representation available.
- The HDMI 1.3b specification increases single-link bandwidth to 340MHz (10.2 Gbps). With capacity to spare, HDMI can incorporate new technology advancements and capabilities into the foreseeable future.
- Engineered for use with all High Definition formats including 1080p, and all SD video formats. Version 1.3b also supports lossless compressed streams such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
- Supports uncompressed Digital Video transmission and uncompressed Multi-channel Digital Audio.
