What can I say, Azden is top of the line product for not much money. This product lives up to the Azden quality and claim in the specs.
I always buy Azden products.
I use this unit to record video at a great distance from the subject... 75Ft or so. Never fails and the transmission is clear. No hiss, hummm or any other things you may hear on other brands.
I also use this to plug in an audio link, to transmit from a stage's audio board.
However, WARNING if you want to use it other than a microphone input please read the following !!!!
The unit puts out 5VDC from the input jack and it could or WILL DAMAGE ANY EQUIPMENT that not supposed to have any power feedback!!
This unit is NOT designed for that purpose and if you wish to use it as such... like, plug in your CD player, FM reciever, etc. and transmit in your house...Don't do it. It requires a special cable that isolates the power with a capacitor to the "tip" of the jack. Please see an audio specialist to construct a special cable to remove the 5VDC power feed.
Mod can be done inside the unit but that will void your warranty and you can no longer use a microphone input.
As for downside of the product, can't think of any.

First of all, I own four other Azden wireless lavs (two 30BTs and two 10BTs) and I love them all... essential zero problems, and totally reliable over the years I've had them. So given my past experience with Azden I didn't hesitate to buy the 105LT as a backup system for when I need one extra mic at weddings. BIG MISTAKE. The range is terrible and no where near the 200 feet claimed (massive interference from just 30 feet away through a large entryway!) and no matter how close you are to the receiver static is constantly an issue especially if the lav mic's wire is touched, which seems to attenuate the signal. It's just not a dependable mic for professional use, period. Wish I could love it like my other Azdens, but unfortunately this one is going back...

Comments about Azden 105LT 105 Series UHF Wireless Microphone System with 15BT Transmitter:
Had rented this system and was somewhat familiar with it's operation before purchase. A great system I would recommend to anyone. My only regret is that it does not have a battery indicator to show power remaining. Guess I'll have to use a battery tester but I do like it's easy of use. :0)

Comments about Azden 105LT 105 Series UHF Wireless Microphone System with 15BT Transmitter:
I bought the 105LT system mainly for doing video interviews indoors. It's a decent price considering most professional wireless mic systems are upwards of $500. However, I experienced inconsistent performance and lots of dropout at even short distances from 20' to 40' indoors. The specs say it can transmit a lot further, but that doesn't seem true. I tried different frequencies using the dial inside but it didn't improve anything. It's either there's a special trick to using these at longer distances or they're just not good beyond 10'. That said, in the few times I used this within 10' they performed very well. It's a good for getting your feet wet in wireless, but seems like a poor long term investment unless all you plan on doing is interviews up-close. I would have been happier if they were honest with the specs and priced it maybe $100 less.

Comments about Azden 105LT 105 Series UHF Wireless Microphone System with 15BT Transmitter:
I have used this product several times now. very dependable signal right out of the box without any adjustments. First shoot I was 15 feet away in a corporate meeting room. Second time I was 50 feet away in a hotel ballroom. During the 90 minute record I might have heard 1 slightly audible click, but other than that the sound quality was terrific.
Thank you B&H staff for the recommendation.

Comments about Azden 105LT 105 Series UHF Wireless Microphone System with 15BT Transmitter:
I bought this system to record interviews into my Zoom H4N-- and the lower price definitely showed in performance. There were occasional drop outs in signal mid-interview, and even when the signal was good... there was really bad static white noise in the background. This wouldn't be so bad if the static didn't follow the voice with every inflection (I couldn't even clean it up properly in editing). I had to completely reshoot the interview with a boom mic to make sure I got good audio. Before I returned it, I messaged someone on YouTube who had made a video testing the system. In the test it appeared that everything was fine, however afterwards he said that he experienced the same issues that I found-- he recommended returning it as well.
On top of the bad audio quality, it is extremely difficult to change frequencies. You have a lot of frequency options, but in order to change them you need to open the back and use a small screw tool to rotate the even smaller frequency knobs. This would only be mildly inconvenient if the system actually returned decent audio.
It really is not worth the time and money if you are looking for a wireless mic system. If you are looking for a professional audio solution, do yourself a favor and get the Sennheiser wireless system for $800+. There's no point in dealing with the many negative features of this product.

It was the best sound gathered than from my cheap mics that came with my camera. I used it on my first taping of a presentation and it worked as it should. Playing it back on my NLE, I brought up the sound by 3db and it was perfect. There was no noise to speak of and no interference from any noisy electrical appliances and lights. Happy overall!

I do a lot of weddings and was using my old partner's Sennheiser system and had NO issues what so ever. After we split I had to get my own but didn't have the money to buy Sennheiser. I like Azden and thought this would be ok. I think I was wrong!
Luckily, I got a chance to test it on two free jobs for some friends before my busy season starts and now I am going to sell this one and try to get Sennheiser system ASAP. I think a few other people had the same issue I had. Like 20 minutes into operation, the system has a LOT of static and the audio was all messed up. Now, unless there is some trick or something to this system, it just isn't dependable.
Think twice before getting this especially if you are doing work for money. Can't tell a customer "oh, I'm sorry my system messed up in the middle of your ceremony."

Comments about Azden 105LT 105 Series UHF Wireless Microphone System with 15BT Transmitter:
I recently used a product on a couple of family projects out of town. i will say they can be bit of handful for the rookie to use. When they are set up well, that give solid sound, but they do need some optimal conditions for their best work.
The microphone system gives good sound. it wasn't as clear as i'd like to be, but when you have the right conditions it would be close. It is prone to static and overmodulation. There are ways to minimize or eliminate within the two units themselves.
Its biggest strength is that you do have good range. One of my projects involved wiring a basketball coach for sound. During the practice, I had to a bathroom on the same level as the gym, but set maybe 25 meters from the practice floor and behind three different sets of walls and doors. I could still hear coach at a solid level from a bathroom stall 25 meters away and heavily obscured. Transmitter part for equation does well.
It's biggest weakness? It can be difficult to use the internal adjustments for frequency and sound quality. The mechanism to change the setting require use of a mini tool found in each module. Those tools are plastic and rather difficult to use. A micro flathead and a micro phillips head screwdriver are far superior answers.
OVERALL Outlook -- If you are on a tight budget these can do the job, but if you can pony up more money, consider some choices upmarket.

This Wireless System is great for a second camera sound, once you get to use the proper cables along with a sound mixer.
at first it gave me quite a headache since the portable mixer i was using was not connected with the proper stereo mono cables, so the mics' sound was kind of low level. but once I use the correct cable configuration, the sound on this unit came strong and loud I had to lower the sound levels using the mixer and the camera's sound levels.
in short this is a great product for the price you pay very rugged and made to last.

Sure its a little bit noisy, changing frequencies is a bit tricky and sometimes its tough to find a clear channel but at least you've got plenty to choose from and for less than $300, what do you expect? If you want crystal clear noiseless audio, frequency diversity and wide range then save up the $10K - $20K you are going to need for a professional system. So far I've been able to get good results from this system. In my area I can usually find a clear channel pretty quickly and have never had a problem cleaning up the audio with a bit of EQ. Fortunately for most of my work I can usually keep the receiver fairly close so range isn't that important. Again - for $300 bucks? I love it.

Comments about Azden 105LT 105 Series UHF Wireless Microphone System with 15BT Transmitter:
I used the device to video a formal presentation at an important event and was very disappointed with the poor quality of consistent sound production. Within a period of 25 minutes I lost the sound signal with static a minimum of 5 times. I have been unable to recover many important items of the presentation.
Perhaps my venue in a large meeting room in a major hotel in the Washington DC area had other electrical issues.
I tested the system in another environment for 5 minutes prior to use and it seemed to work OK but when it came to a longer recording session, not good. I would recommend that anyone choosing to use this unit test this sytem for at least 20 minutes before using it to obtain any type of quality recorded product.

Now that I am using my Digital camera to take HD movies, I was dissapointed in the sound quality of the movies. There were camera noises being recorded, and voices of my subjects were not loud and clear UNTIL adding this UHF microphone system. Now the audio is amazing and the video quality overall is greatly enhanced! Quick and easy to use with lots of channels to choose from for perfect sound clarity.

I purchased this microphone for a single camera, run-and-gun, documentary project that had outdoor elements, group settings, and was generally unpredictable. Having this microphone was a life saver and managed to isolate conversations even in noisy crowded rooms and allowed me to step away and get wider shots than I would have been able to with just the shotgun mic.
My only regret is that I didn't have more. Won't make that mistake in the future.

I just tried my 105 system on a wedding. I placed the transmitter on the grooms belt and got nothing but noise. After getting home I did a test and found the following. If I touch the antena (even with cloths preventing direct contact)on the transmitter, I loose all sound. This is a big problem because the transmitter is a belt clip-on. I wouldn't recommend this system to anyone who needs to get good audio without risking anything.

It's got a bit of a hum in the back, but it gets the job done.
Nice quality, taking in consideration that "good" microphones are usually very expensive.
