The Azden 105 Series Wireless Microphone Systems offer the flexibility of frequency agile operation and compact components at a modest price. With up to 92 selectable UHF frequencies, users can rely on the 105 series for clear reception in any scenario. This system includes the 105UPR camera mountable receiver, 15BT beltpack transmitter with EX-503 lavalier microphone and 15HT handheld transmitter.
The Azden UPR 105 receiver is compact and includes a built-in shoe-mount for easy camera attachment. A 1/8" (3.5mm) mini output connects to the audio inputs on cameras with the supplied cable. An optional cable (Azden MX1), provides an XLR output. In addition, a separate 1/8" (3.5mm) output with independent level control provides headphone monitoring.
The Azden 15BT and 15HT also features 92 selectable frequencies. The included EX-503 lavalier (clip-on) microphone features an omnidirectional polar pattern for clear vocal reproduction at all angles. An On/Off switch is provides for added control and two AA batteries provide between 6 - 8 hours of operation.

I've tried using this in different scenarios from weddings, birthdays, and just testing it at home. It's not reliable. It works for me 80% of the time but once I hand it off to somebody it's just static noise from there. I don't know if I have a defective unit but it's too late now for me. I've had it for a while. Last night I had to turn it off and go straight to my wired mic during a large birthday party. I've learned that you can't skimp on this time of device. I'm going to save up for something way better.

This system is to be used for event videography and is a quantum leap from my former VHS 2 frequency system. The self contained handheld transmitter as well as the lavalier and body pack round out the package for the occasional interviews I conduct. The 92 frequency choices make this an exceptional value for the money. My only complaint would be the difficult to see set wheels within the transmitters and receiver unit. An included windscreen for the handheld would have been nice as well.

Plan to use this for company videos and so far the sound is so much better than the built in mic on our camera. Will also use with a PA system for company meetings. The hand held mic wasn't really needed but will be good to have as a backup to the lavalier. Both perform well.
There is a "pop" when turning either mic off which isn't a problem on video since it can be edited but may be annoying on the PA system. Standy mode on the lavalier doesn't have this problem.

Save your money and buy a different system. I've been using Azden mics for the last 15 years (VHF). I've found that they work great for about 2 years then it's time to replace them. With the new FCC rules regarding VHF mics the VHF frequencies will eventually be unusable. So I threw my money down on this system and I can say I'm done with Azden microphones. Their quality control is rotten and all their stuff is made in China. Like I've read on other sites you need to spend at least $600 and more like $1000 on a reliable system.

I'm a video journalist and I really like this wireless system. Construction is good, sound quality is superb. Don't waste your money on a really high priced system unless you really need all those bells and whistles. I considered an even cheaper system than this but I decided to take the middle road because I wanted the assurance that I wouldn't get interference. This system has plenty of channel options and although changing them is not as easy as a push of a button, you just turn a little screw in the battery compartment. No big deal.
I would recommend getting a windscreen with this set, at least for the handheld mic. The built in windscreen is not heavy duty enough to keep the wind out. You will not be able to hear much if you are shooting outdoors. The lav mic does fine in wind by itself.
One last note: The mini cable that comes with this set has a right and wrong way to be installed. The 90-degree end goes into the receiver, the straight end goes into your camera. If you reverse it, you will get poor sound quality. The instructions don't say anything about this!

I use the 105ULH to prepare video interviews with a business owner, sometimes a with testimonial about the business. The 105ULH is great for obtaining clear, crisp audio in all types of interview and narrated video scenarios. The transmitter pack may feel a little uncomfortable at first, but it becomes part of the whole process quite quickly.

This kit has a lapel mike and a handheld mike that are perfect for interviewing. The small size of all of the units makes mounting on the newer (smaller) HD camera simple and in proportion. I have it mounted on a Cannon Vixia HF200.
I did have to adjust the volume so that both mics were equal and I changed the frequencies to eliminate the some background noise. Both of these adjustments are simple to do and are a great feature.
I am not certain about the durability, yet.

I bought this system as a backup system. The system works well with no dropouts yet while I have used it for several projects at different distances. The only problem that I have with this system is that the microphone (15ht) feels like a toy. I was scared at first but I have used it several times and it works well. This is the reason that I am only giving it 4 stars.
