JMI Telescopes MOTOFOCUS is a motorized electronic focusing mechanism that affixes to your Celestron NexStar 5 SE, 6 SE, 8 SE, or C6-SGT telescope's focuser. It pushes on to your Schmidt-Cassegrain's focusing knob without any tools needed, and can be quickly detached for transport.
MOTOFOCUS operates off of a supplied 9-volt battery; with a bit of practice, you'll be able to adjust your focuser in increments much smaller than the width of a business card. In particular, springing for the MOTOFOCUS gives you much more enjoyable high-magnification viewing from your scope, with finer control over the image and much less user-induced vibrations.

Comments about JMI Telescopes MOTOFOCUS Electric Telescope Focusing Motor:
The moto focuser really gets rid of any vibration caused by focusing manually. It is a must for any visual user.
The only thing I didn´t like is the cheap plastic motor cover, it would have nicer if it was metal, but this has no influence on what it is supposed to do.
Great product!

Comments about JMI Telescopes MOTOFOCUS Electric Telescope Focusing Motor:
I always wanted a motofocus, but never got around to it until today. I have had this for 3 weeks now and it is a godsend. No more wiggles at the focuser. I just simply press one button or the other, depending on whether I want in-focus or out-focus, expecially with a Denkmeier power switch. It may take a few seconds more, but at least the scope is not wiggling from me touching it. I would recommed this item for anyone doing visual observing. When changing eyepieces or slipping in a barlow and then re-focusing, this is one handy item. It may cost a pretty penny up front, but like all astronomy accessories, it is cost effective. Have the item for 10 years and it comes out to 16.90 a year. A great investment!

Comments about JMI Telescopes MOTOFOCUS Electric Telescope Focusing Motor:
AT FIRST WHEN I GOT THIS I THOUGHT IT WAS CHEEP AND NOT REALLY THAT GOOD, BUT AFTER USING IT FOR A FEW WEEKS, ITS AMAZING HOW MUCH IT TRUELY HELPS OUT IN THE FINER ADJUSTMENTS IN FOCUSING. WELL WORTH THE MONEY
