JMI's microslew is engineered to work with the Vixen Porta Mount to produce precise and vibration-free tracking of celestial or slow moving terrestrial subjects. The system includes a hand control, two coiled connecting cords and two electric motors (powered by a 9-volt battery) that are attachable to the axes of the Porta Mount. Normal and micro slewing can be accomplished in either direction, altitude or azimuth. The hand unit offers dual-speed control and is switchable between motors. It is capable of regulating slewing speeds and centering of objects.
