Sanyo PDG-DSU21N Ultra-Portable Multimedia DLP Projector

Not much larger than a laptop PC, the Sanyo PDG-DSU21N is ideal for classrooms, boardrooms and other small gatherings that use projectors for video playback or small-audience presentations. It weighs less than 6 lbs and can be hand carried from one presentation to the next. A versatile, go-anywhere system, it connects easily to a PC using the D-sub 15 pin input or any video source such as a VCR, DVD Player or even cable/satellite set-top boxes via the composite (RCA) or S-Video input.
The PDG-DSU21N features true SVGA picture quality, a brightness level of 2300 lumens and delivers a contrast ratio of 2000:1. It has an RS-232C control port for advanced projection control, and comes with a 1.1x zoom lens. For convenience, the auto input search function searches, finds and displays incoming source material automatically. Component input, quiet fan operation and versatile go anywhere capability make this a truly portable projector. For added versatility, the PDG-DSU21N may be ceiling or inverse mounted.

High Performance
- To compensate for keystone (trapezoidal) picture distortion, the PDG-DSU21 provides vertical keystone correction of +/-15°.
- Auto image re-sizing (Auto-Sync.) to 800 x 600 full screen with scaling compression compatibility for VGA, SVGA, XGA (compressed) and SXGA (compressed).
- Manual focus 1.1x zoom lens can throw a crisp, bright 100" diagonal image. That's just one size. This lens is adjustable up to a 300-inch diagonal screen size.
- Compatible with NTSC, PAL, SECAM and HDTV systems.
- RS-232C control port for advanced projection control.
- Supplied infra-red remote control features Freeze, No Show, digital zoom, Page up/down and Pointer (computer mode only) functions.

I bought two of these last year for an event, and while they've gone up in price by $20 since then, they're still the best deal out there.
The projectors are light-weight and very portable as they're described. They come with a pretty nice cardboard case that you can use for a while until you get a real case.
The image is fine for small meetings and projects with bright, readable colors from at least 20 feet away (haven't tested any further) with the lights on. This is the perfect projector to take with you for presentations, and you won't have to take up much space in your car to take it along as a back-up in case your location doesn't give you the projector you asked for (which inevitably happens once in a while).
The speakers are pretty good for small groups again. It's better than using your computer's speakers but obviously not ideal.
I have no problems with these projectors. They don't run too hot and are easy to set up. I even dropped one with no issue.

Set up was easy and fast although I did not take the time to set up the remote because I did not have a USB cord at the workshop ssite. Used the projctor for about 3 hours of a workshop. Produced clear images on a white wall in a room with some ambient light. Light weight and easy to pack up and carry.
