I have connected ERGO to my HP LapTop's 4pins firewire socket and powered it with the supplied unit.
Everything went the right way, without any problem.

After the very simple calibration procedure the low end in my "focus" position is quite better.

I'll continue to use this little equipment. No doubt about it...

Didn't work right out of the box. The device sounds promising, use your computer and this little box to correct the bad acoustics in your room or at least make them better. I plugged it in started the software program and only got sound out of one channel. OK, check for updates, download, reboot. same issue. So then I tried using the B set of speakers. Software would not proceed past clearing previous settings mode, just hangs. Set up two sets of speakers and tried again. Reboot computer followed instructions, pressed A set of speakers, what the?? One channel of sound but out of the B set I plugged in. The light for A set is on but the B set of speakers left side is pushing out the test tone??? This can't be good. I don't like the idea of this kinda of device in my signal path all of a sudden. Who knows what it is doing, it sure doesn't . Well I don't know if this thing would make a mix sound better or not as it never worked. After reading more about room acoustics it may be more effective to pay attention to speaker placement and invest in acoustic tiles. Save the money and buy better speakers with it.
