Comments about Pelican 1080 HardBack Case (Black with Black Latches):
I bought this case to transport my iPad 2. I didn't feel safe throwing my device directly into my back pack. It fits nicely into my backpack and keeps my ipad dry, safe and sound. My only wish is that Pelican made a slightly thinner version of this case; it is really designed for a netbook and is a bit clunky for the thin ipad. overall, I think that it has to be one of the best cases for maximum protection for the ipad.

Comments about Pelican 1080 HardBack Case (Black with Black Latches):
I am getting ready to deploy and this case is perfect for travel. Fits nicely into my backpack. My kids can jump on it and I have no concerns about my computer breaking. Really a good price and a good buy for anyone who might be traveling a lot to keep their computer safe. The only problem is there is no where to put the charging cable for the computer. That's all I see wrong with this case.

Comments about Pelican 1080 HardBack Case (Black with Black Latches):
I use this to carry watercolor paper. Like all the Pelican cases I own, it just works.
The less than good, the latch reminds me of the King Pelican case latches. But if it can not get wet its your choice.

Comments about Pelican 1080 HardBack Case (Black with Black Latches):
I use this case to carry wireless mic systems. On location it gives easy excess to everything needed. It also fits into any carry on when having to fly to locations. And an added bonus, my Mac Book fits in as well when not using it for Mics. The latch can be slightly hard to open, but this is not a real problem.

Comments about Pelican 1080 HardBack Case (Black with Black Latches):
Very impressed with the overall quality of this unit. The latch system is very solid, I prefer this version to the standard latches. Only downside is the hinges only open to 90 degrees, not 180 degrees as I would have preferred, but I knew this going in.
Highly recommended.

Comments about Pelican 1080 HardBack Case (Black with Black Latches):
Bought this case for a macbook pro 13". It fits very snugly with no extra room for foam on the side. It is a good size and light, but pretty WEAK! If i stepped on the case it would damage the computer. Not what I expected from Pelican. Hopefully they aren't using this flimsy plastic for all their cases.
