O HD Externo My Book Mirror Edition de 1TB da Western Digital é um drive externo de alta capacidade com uma interface que permite conectar-se via USB 2.0.
O drive é abrigado em um design elegante que pode ser, à primeira vista, confundido com o de um livro de capa dura. Isso torna o drive uma excelente escolha para qualquer um que gostaria de ter um drive exclusivo e elegante para uso para armazenamento externo de dados. - A capacidade de 1TB permite o armazenamento de aproximadamente 75 horas de vídeo digital DV não-comprimido, o equivalente a 212 discos de DVD de vídeo de 4.7GB ou até 250.000 arquivos de MP3.

- O array vem configurado como RAID 1, que espelha os dados entre os dois discos físicos contidos dentro do compartimento. Isso cria um backup de dados em tempo real. Drive provides minimum set of features at the best available price.
I was looking for the reliable (RAID) local PC backup and this is exactly what i needed.
System doesn't have any NAS features but if all i need i local RELIABLE backup why would i pay double for feature i woudn't use?
In the future if you are tech suvvy you'll be able to swap the drives for something bigger ( will void the warranty of course).

I use this for backing up my home pc. Very easy setup connection and software install. Only bad item is I cannot get my home movies to play when I restore them from the external hard drive, however I am not sure this is an issue with the external hard drive may be the sony camcorder.

Use with a vista PC product plugs and plays not problem. Their included software did not give me anything I don't already have so I did not try it.
The real test will come if the drive is still running and has all my data safe and sound in 5 years.
