High Performance

• Motorized lens functions provide power zoom and focus, and horizontal and vertical offset - all at the touch of a button.

• Intelligent Lens System (ILS) automatically manages and corrects the zoom and focus when a source is changed. ILS provides the ability to recall focus, zoom and positioning settings specific to each source input. This allows the projector to display multiple aspect ratios correctly sized and positioned on the same screen.

• Seamless Switching lets users effortlessly switch between cued sources with no delays or dark time.

• Picture-in-Picture lets you view multiple sources at the same time.

• Built-in edge-blending allows multiple projectors to be used together to display a single image source, by each projecting a part of the final image. This allows for very bright and high-resolution projection, since the projectors' performance is combined.

• Comprehensive Color Adjustment (CCA) functions include adjustments by X/Y and color saturation.

• Christie's LiteLOC (Light Output Control) continuously monitors the lamp and increases power when required, to maintain constant brightness.

• The HD8K has a sealed light engine to minimize the effects of dust and smoke. This is important since the light path is a critical element in the performance of a projector, contaminants not only degrade performance in terms of the image quality but also effect costs relative to maintenance and service.

Inputs/Outputs

• The HD8K offers installation flexibility and compatibility with any data, video or HDTV source in use today, from VGA to QXGA. The multi-standard video decoder and, horizontal and vertical scaling of all inputs gives you the ability to connect to virtually anything.

• Inputs include RGBHV/YPbPr via 5 BNCs, DVI-I for digital/analog RGB/YPbPr (HDCP), composite and S-Video, two RS-232 ports and one RS-422 port.

• Dual SD/HD-SDI input module allows for the connection of both a SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition) SDI input, each with its own loop-through.

• There is also a GPI output connector allowing the projector to interface with a wide range of external I/O devices.

• For total projector monitoring and control the HD8K has built-in ethernet networking for full compatibility with ChristieNET.

• An optional stacking frame is available which allows stacking up to a maximum of three projectors in an upright or inverted orientation.
