Kirk Snap Collar for BH-3 Ballhead
The Kirk Snap Collar for BH-3 Ballhead is a low-cost protection accessory for those that like to keep their camera and lens attached to the tripod while moving around. The collar simply slips over the exposed part of the ball, creating a block to the ball, and preventing the ball from flopping to the side. It also helps to avoid undue stress on the locking mechanism, helping your ballhead to perform and last longer.

Great for hiking. Attach the camera to the tripod, attach the snap collar, place the tripod/camera over your shoulder, and off you go. Works well w/ canon 7d/telephoto/3-5 mile hike (w/stops for for a few shots).
