JMI offers the option of upgrading the standard 2-3/8" hard rubber wheels with the larger 5" Wheels after the original purchase of the Universal-Style Wheeley Bars. Larger wheels are designed to increase height on rough surfaces such as grass, dirt and gravel. However, careful precautionary measures must be taken while moving heavy tripods and telescopes, particularly when the terrain is wet. Wheels are subject to sink below the surface because of soft ground, therefore the usage of wheeley bars is not recommended during adverse conditions.
