The Advantage Series Keyboard 2.0 for Avid Media Composer from Bella is a USB keyboard designed specially for use with Avid Media Composer. The keyboard features color-coded keycaps with icons that give clear, simple visual cues for keyboard shortcuts. The keyboard also features a 2-port USB hub to allow you to easily connect USB devices such as a mouse or a jog/shuttle wheel, and standard multimedia buttons to allow you to control playback of music and videos in iTunes. Keyboard has good feel to it and looks nice. Only thing wrong with it is one of the six special function (like opening up Microsoft Outlook etc) buttons on the top, put the computer to sleep from which I could not awaken it without rebooting.
I guess I'll just have to stay away from that button.

Keyboard feels sturdy without being bulky or heavy. Nice key action, and a couple extra USB ports are always useful.
A nice change compared with the cheap generic keyboard I used previously.
Having symbols that correspond to right-option/alt-character combinations printed on the front of the keycaps is very handy. However, not all of them correspond correctly to what you get -- at least on Mac OSX with a standard Canadian English (or US) keyboard setting.
For instance, the front of the '8' key is printed with '3/4', but the right-alt-8 combo produces '•' (a round bullet).
I should note that I am using the keyboard as-is -- i.e. without downloading and installing Bella's keyboard drivers (which the documentation suggests is only necessary if you want to use the multimedia keys at the top of the keyboard.)

I plugged in the keyboard into a USB port & I was up & running. Editing using Avid's shortcuts on this keyboard is awesome. My editing has become so much faster & I don't have to rely on my mouse as much. And when you're just browsing the internet or typing a document you still have full use of the keyboard & can see all of the letters in addition to the shortcut icons. There was a discounted price when I bought this so it was well worth the money. I would highly recommend getting one of these keyboards if you'd like to increase your editing speed.

I use the more expensive model every day at work and love it....I needed a keyboard for my laptop setup at home....the price was great, the keyboard seems to be as well built as the more expensive model and it works every bit as well...a real value that I would recommend to anyone needing an edit program specific keyboard.
