Comments about Wolverine PicPac - 120GB Capacity Portable Data Storage Device & Media Reader:
I'm actually using this for a three-week whirlwind European adventure (in Amsterdam now!), and it has been just great. I brought my laptop along, too, to see if the Wolverine was working. I'm rather paranoid about data security, so it's great being able to upload my photos every night on this device. I don't clear my memory cards, that way I have redundancy, which is also nice.
My brother has a Sony camera, and he has been able to use the Wolverine, too. I use a Nikon D300.
The only issue with it is that the two buttons, while seemingly simple, are actually not. I have no idea how to access some of the other features of the device. Probably would have been worthwhile to read the manual. It is simple to use. All you have to do is pop the card in, turn on the device, and hold down "Info/Copy."

Comments about Wolverine PicPac - 120GB Capacity Portable Data Storage Device & Media Reader:
I am involved in travel photography, and generally use high-end equipment. I needed something small and cheap for backing up photos on the run.
My solution after the Pic Pac stopped working: Bought a large memory card with fast transfer speeds and a LaCie Rugged Hard Disk. These days computers are easy to find.
Comments about Wolverine PicPac - 120GB Capacity Portable Data Storage Device & Media Reader:
Opposite of ergonomic and broke after the third use. It cannot download without being plugged in and it's slow. All of this would be forgivable if it was reliable, which I was given the impression (in store) that it was.

The unit works with Lexar 300x UDMA cards. If not, call customer support and they will overnight the unit back to you with the UDMA support enabled. They were very responsive and fast; they even called me back! I give customer support an A+.
You have to remember what this is -- a low cost, no viewer, high capacity backup. It does that, and not much else. The unit does not turn itself off unless there is 100% no error copy. If there is an error, it doesn't turn off. Transfer rate for 133x cards and above seem to be around 11 minutes for 4Gb. It is faster transferring to the computer.
I got this as a second backup for a trip to the Middle East, and I think it should serve very well for that purpose. I will update the review when I get back.

It's inexpensive and lighweight but it's not easy to use and nor very well built. Buttons, card reader slot covers and dispaly info could be better.
