The Pentax 8x25 DCF-SW is a compact roof prism binocular with dual hinge design that makes it small enough to slip right into your shirt pocket or pocket book. It is a desirable option for all outdoor activities including sports, hunting and wild life observation. Its high resolution phase-coated optics insures great optical performance and delivers brilliantly detailed images of objects.
The binocular is nitrogen filled (with JIS Class 6) to be fog-free during sudden temperature changes. It is waterproof and can be submerged up to 3 feet and not be subjected to water damage. It offers helicoid eyepiece rings with four click stops for comfortable eye relief and can accommodate all viewers including eyeglass wearers. Also, it offers comfortable handling due to its efficient rubber non-slip surface that enables a sure grip every time in use.

So user friendly and easy to use...we have sweeping Hudson and manhattan views...and love to grab our Pentax binoculars and sweep over the Hudson...they are fantastic, lightweight, and very powerful.

Took these binoculars on a 2 week Arican Safari (Botswana). They were light, easy to carry, and provided some great viewing. Well worth it.

The good part is the optics are bright and clear. Very compact.
The bad part is the belt loop on the binocular case broke within the first 15minutes of use. On inspection the loop itself is paper thin and never had a chance of functioning. The binoculars are advertised to have a 4 position helicoid eye piece adjustment for eye relief. The truth is it has a 2 position. All the way in or all the way out. The out position clicks into position but not very positively and will sometimes move. The full out position which is for use without glasses is actually a bit to far for my taste. To bad it does not have 4 positions as advertised.
