The PYRO Kompressor HD Board for Mac from Pyro AV is a fully integrated hardware component designed for use with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and After Effects in conjunction with a dual-core or quad-core Intel-based Mac computer. This unit allows you to expedite DVD production, specifically with last-minute changes. Rather than re-render an entire project, the board allows you to only re-render the pieces of the project where changes occurred. Use it to accelerate your MPEG-2 and H.264 encoding.
Features on the card include transcoding from a variety of compression input formats, up and down-scaling, and frame-rate/sample-rate conversion. Output settings can be customized for pre-defined frequent work. A watch folder is included for background job automation and you can specify in and out points for encoding. It also offers chapter support, batch encoding, and the ability to save or restore batch job lists, among many other features.
