I bought these because I had lost one of the feet to my Gitzo tripod. I'm planning on going to do a trek in India and figured these spiked feet will work very well with the ground we'll be trekking on. The spikes are very strong. Don't think it'll break anytime soon. unscrew the rubber feet to it's lowest point to make it just rubber feet if you don't wanna scratch up floors. They are a little chunkier than the ones the tripod came with.
They can be installed very easily. Just unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones. Can't get any simpler than that.

I use this product as a replacement for the rubber feet that came with the tripod (3531GT - I lost one of those the first week). You have to manually switch the feet between rubber and the spiked configuration, but it;s perfect to have both options.
A bit of Loctite (least potent) helps keep the feet from coming loose in sand or tides.

These Gitzo feet need a stop on them so our guys cannot unscrew them so far that they fall off. The replacement feet are exactly the same as the originals as expected.

When first used my Gitzo tripod on a job, did not realize the feet/spikes were loose, lost one. I tried my local shop who sold me the unit for a replacement, and no response. No substitute for the original feet, and found them at B&H for a reasonable price. Thanks B&H!

Excellent universal foot for work in the field and at home. 's very convenient to work in a grass surface and rocks.
One of the drawbacks like to note that the legs need to have a strong twist. I have a few feet lost.

When I bought my Gitzo legs, the salesperson at my local shop warned me about the feet and recommended I use locktite to prevent them from falling off. Sure enough, I ignored his advice and I lost one of the feet somewhere in Arizona. I rushed to [@]and found three bolts that fit right into the legs. It helped prevent dust and sand from getting inside the legs for the rest of the trip. I ordered these feet as soon as I got back, I locktite'd them and with the added advantage of the spikes, I feel ready for the next trip.

Function perfectly as rubber ball feet or spike feet for traction in loose soil. Only complaint I have is for what a Gitzo tripod costs, this item should have come with the tripod at no extra cost.

These feet are a great product. I had used similar feet before on my Manfrotto video tripod, so I was very happy to see that they were available for my 3-series Gitzo. A little Loctite will go a long way with this product.

Nice idea, but the choice of a simple soft wire prevent the rubber feet from falling off is just a bad one. You can completely unscrew the foot with your fingers - the retainer just falls off.

I ended up putting the feet on a lathe and cutting a slightly deeper notch for a standard e-clip. Works fine now.

Replacement feet for two stock feet that had loosened and fallen off of my Gitzo G2220. Received just in time for a week-long trip to Vienna.

Perfect for everything from soft, wet soil on a steep hill to delicate wooden floors.

I had the same kind on my old tripod, but they weren't nearly as nicely constructed as these, nor as stout. These are designed for the GT3541 XLT which is designed to have interchangable feet. The design is great because they can be used on either sharp rock with tiny slots for the pointed tip or the rubber piece can be screwed down to be placed on a wood floor to keep from causing scratches.

Functional - no complaints.
Better than the original feet that seemed to come loose too easily. The rubber option gives a better footprint than the original and you have the option of the spike.
